Subject: [Serious-Weight-Watchers] Weigh in--week 6
Down .6. So I didn't hit my goal today:-( Im .6 away. I was thinking about
changing it. Once I hit that goal I need to maintain for 6 weeks. After 6
weeks I cant be 2 pounds above or below my goal weight then I become a
lifetime member. I've been concerned about my belly and my leader reassured
me today that I look great and I've done a great job. She said she still has
some belly weight and she's lost 80 pounds. So Im still trucking along. I
need all new clothes. None of mine fit. Hopefully I will do that this
weekend at some point. I am going to decide at next week's weigh in if I
want to change my goal. Im thinking about making my WW goal at 139. This is
2 pounds below the highest weight I can be according to the BMI chart. It
all seemed so far away when I started on January 14th. Im so happy I've come
this far.. going on 19 weeks with no gain.
Starting Weight--161.0
Current Weight--141.6
Total Loss--19.4 pounds
Goal Weight--141
Goal Before June 12th--Lose 7 pounds.--1.8 pounds away.
Have a Passionette Day!!!

What a feeling! It's good to hear. I myself started back on WW about 6 weeks ago and have only lost 6 lbs. and it does me good to hear of someone getting there the "hard" way LOL
You should be really proud of yourself. You done good :-)

You get a metal disc thing that looks like a washer once you've lost 25, 50,

I wanted to share my NSVs.
1. I am on multiple antibiotics & retraining water. I stayed on program even as I felt I was growing larger just by breathing in and out.
2. I weigh at home on a weight watcher's scale which weighed me funny with huge gains and losses in just a few moments. I didn't realize at first that it needed new batteries. I stayed OP.
3. I have been feeling poorly--very tired--and resisted the impulse to eat junk food for extra temporary energy or to sooth my emotions. I stayed OP.
4. My husband took me to dinner last nite in the midst of all this and, not only did I stay OP, but I ordered a la carte. Mexican food--chilli rellano with vegetables. I counted my points for each item including the tortilla chips. I ate slowly, drinking water in between bites, and took longer than my husband who had food on 3 plates!

Michele,
At IHOP I had grilled tilapia with hollandaise sauce, mashed potatoes (no
gravy), peas and carrots, garlic bread, and a side salad with lite Ranch
dressing. The total for the entire meal was 9 points. Which I had cuz I
worked 3rd shift the night before and then had to stay up another couple of
hours before I could go to bed cuz Bob had to be on a run so I had to take
Marcella to school so I had slept through most of my meals. lol

You are awesome! Truly!! That is amazing!!
I have to remember to bring my dining out companion with me. I tend
not to eat in chain restaurants too much so I try to research before I
go if at all possible.
Just curious what you had at IHOP and how many points it was? I would
think that would be a dangerous place....

my last 3 weigh ins! 1.4, 1.4, and 1.8 (this past Tuesday)
Next, someone brought donut holes (and my favorite variety-powdered) in at
work and they were there for my last two shifts and I didn't touch any!
Third, last night we went to IHOP and I went armed with my points
calculator
(so I could track) and my Dining out Companion (so I could decide what to
order) Well as I was looking at things and then looking up items that
sounded good, I flipped to the back and found a section called IHOP for Me.
That part had a handful of items that had the NI! In fact I might have even
overestimated points because while it had the calories and fat, it didn't
list the fiber so I just went with the points I came up with without the
fiber which I figure meant I probably even ate less points than I thought
but hey better over than under, right?
But now! This is my cloud 9 moment! I am just on such a high right now (the
kind not drug induced LOL) I told my husband I think I am finally "getting"
this. That you *can* go out to eat but you just have to be sensible about
it
when you do. You have to come armed and prepared so that you can make the
best selections. So, to that end, I asked if I could *really* test myself
this evening and go to Golden Corral. For anyone not familiar with this
restaurant, it's a buffet style restaurant. Now, buffets, even on WW, are
my
*big* downfall. I start out with the best of intentions, but end up eating
just about everything there! It's horrible! Well, this time, I started with
a salad (0 points cuz I just used lettuce and some veggies and FF Italian
dressing). Then after I finished my salad, I went back up (sans plate) and
perused the items and decided on some I thought I might want then went back
to the table and compared what I thought I might like with the points
values
(had my Dining Out Companion with me) So settled on sirloin steak (6
points)
and mashed potatoes (3 points) I even was able to get a dessert cuz I had
been so good so settled on SF chocolate pudding (2 points) but hubby's
choice looked better and the only reason I didn't pick it was cuz even
though the book had Golden Corral this item must be new cuz it wasn't in
the
list (he had a mini coconut tart looked *so* good) and I *still* had points
left over so used them around 9pm (I have to eat about every 3 hours
because
I am diabetic and if I don't I start getting the shakes) for yogurt and a
piece of string cheese. I am so proud of me! It felt so good to go to a
buffet and not go overboard for once! I felt so good that I asked hubby if
we can do it again sometime and he said sure.
I was good on Mother's Day too this year! Normally on special occasions I
say to myself to heck with it it's a special day I'm not tracking. But this
time when we went out to dinner I did track and I also lost that week!
My hubby good naturedly teased me yesterday cuz that day we weren't sure
where we wanted to eat we just knew we wanted to go out so I told my hubby
I
was going to bring my book so I was prepared no matter where we went and he
said "Would you like to bring your WW scale too and take it back to the
cooks to make sure they are measuring the proper portion size?" lol

I can definitely relate to what yall are saying! I've lost 18.8 and my
stomach still looks huge to me! It really disgusts me

That is exactly how I feel - especially when I look in the mirror. My
husband keeps telling me how crazy I sound and that he does not understand
how I can not see it but it is there. One day doing laundry I came across a
pair of jeans I was trying to figure out which of my daughters they belong
to (16&21) and I was amazed when I figured out they were mine. But looking
at them while I was hanging them up I kept thinking there was no way my big
butt and hips was going to fit into them.

Me too! I can totally relate! Sometimes I still see that overweight lady in
the mirror. My leader says that is perfectly normal. I think that it is
because of my stomach sticking out because of losing the muscle tone in my
stomach. Anyway, I just keep trying to believe what everyone else says!

Thanks Heather. And now I have to continue to work on me. Sometimes I still
see myself at 252 pounds. People will tell me how tiny I am getting and I
just have a hard time believing it.
