Hey Everyone,

I just had to shout it from the rooftops - I GOT MY 50 LBS. DISC TODAY!
I've lost a total of 50.8 lbs. in a year and a half. It's been slow and
steady but "they" say that's a good way to do it.

The best part is that I don't have to take my cholesterol medication that
I've taken for the last (at least) 25 years! No more deep fried foods for
me - ever! Yuck!

Thanks everyone for listening to me shout!

Hi Angi~
Welcome. :)
I can so relate! I lost 70 pounds back in '99, had an injury, a foot
surgery and another injury...gained back 60 pounds.
Have a nice vacation!

My name is Angi and I have close to 100 lbs. to lose. I am in my 2nd
week of WW. I lost 4.4 lbs. the first week so I am off to a good
start. I love the Momentum program so far and I haven't been very
hungry on it. This is my 2nd time around. About 3 years ago I lost
40 lbs. on the Flex Points diet and broke my foot and was in a cast
and quit and got off track and gained that back plus some!

Thanks for allowing me to join your group. I look forward to meeting
everyone and learning from you and sharing in support. I will be on
vacation next week, so I won't be posting, but I normally post a good
bit.

Happy Memorial Day!

Angi

Hi,  30 minutes, 30 minutes on the elliptical.  I'm trying to up my speed on it.  When I see other people clipping along at double my speed for twice the length of time, it makes me feel lame.  The one I like to use has a heart moniter thing.  So I try to keep my heart rate over 110 and my stride over 95 strides per minute.  I don't know if this is doing fairly well or not.  It's certainly faster than I want to go, lol  Next week I'm going to try for 45 minutes at the faster speed.  Previously I was doing 45 minutes but not going as fast.... progress    amy

I feel that way sometimes. I do 65 min on the treadmill. I start up at 2.2 mph and end at 2.8. But then I see those people walking faster and running and I feel so fat and lazy. I am not competing with these people. I am working out on a daily basis and I will get better. I am also carrying more weight than those other people.
You have accomplished something. I am only up to 17 minutes on the elliptical. Dont belittle you accomplishments.

Tammy,

Our Subways here still have the breakfast subs.

Does yours have pizza? Ours have pizza now, too. My husband and daughter
tell me it's really good, but I'm sure not point friendly at all!

I love the club salads as well as the tuna ones. I use my own dressing fat
free italian it only has 10 calories.

Our subway manager did away with breakfast subs. I miss that.

Have a great day,
Tammy

Hi Destiny~
Something that has helped me is a dish I made up called Filling Filling.
It's all filling foods cooked together, then packed in individual portions
and kept in the fridge or freezer.
Basically, I take several veggies like bell peppers, onions, spinach,
shredded carrot, celery, etc. and saute them in a TBL of olive oil. Add a
pound
of lean ground beef or turkey breast and cook it all together until done.
A half cup or full cup is only a few points. Then I serve it wrapped in a
high fiber tortilla, over brown rice or noodles, in a lettuce cup or just
eat it as is.
I make different flavor combos....Mexican has garlic, cumin, chili powder
with a can of black beans added. Italian has garlic, oregano, basil and
sun-dried tomatoes. Asian has fresh ginger, garlic and a splash of soy
sauce
with shredded Chinese cabbage added to the veggies.
I always keep them handy in my freezer. It's cheap, filling and OP.
HTH,
Kellianne (another Michigander)

Hi, I am new to WW and to the group. Was wondering what some ideas are for
breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack and dessert. I'd like to keep my options
somewhat simple, basic until I get the hang of tracking. We're on a tight
budget so that is one consideration in my food options. Thanks a lot~

Heather,

My hubby is my best friend, too!

Isn't that new Star Trek movie great? And very hot guys in it, too! lol

I mainly wanted to see it cuz I am an avid Heroes fan so really wanted to
see "Syler" as Spock. I always thought before this movie ever came out when
I saw him in Heroes that he looked like he could be a Vulcan. lol

I also like Outback, though ours here is so noisy you can't carry on a
conversation.

My husband is truly my best friend as well! We had a fun time. Outback was
yummy! I splurged a little but had the extra points to do it! We saw the new
Star Trek movie and I only nibbled a few pieces of popcorn, so that was
good!
