Thanks Tory for your input. I train people all the time to work with the bands so I shouldn't have a problem but I do understand your concerns.

Kim,

Finding frozen dinners that you like it so important. I try and eat fresh as mush as possible but in a pinch I am so grateful to have a few frozen dinners that I enjoy in my freezer. I LOVE the lean cusine frozen pizzas! Way to go on the nice loss.

Subject: [Serious-Weight-Watchers] Great weigh-in and those "voices" in my head...

I didn't go to my meeting this past Saturday as we had too much going on. I
did go today and found that I had lost 5.8 pounds! And what is even MORE
astonishing is that as I was driving home, I had that crampy feeling.... and
it ended up being the start of you-know-what. What?!! Doesn't a person
normally gain weight right before their period? (Well I normally do...) I
think what helped is that I have consistently walked on the treadmill every
morning during the work week. Not marathon sessions, mind you... I'm just
starting out and I want this to become a habit so I've only been walking 10
minutes (which is still 1 point earned).

By the way, I just had one of the best frozen dinners I've ever had...
Healthy Choice Sweet and Sour Chicken for 8 points. Normally I don't care
for how chicken typically tastes in a frozen dinner, but this meal was
excellent. It really took care of my craving for Chinese food.

I really really really wanted to stop at Culver's in Fargo before I drove
the 30 miles home today. Nooooo..... I didn't. Then as I was driving home,
the thought that I could stop at the local drive-in flitted into my head
(they have the best burger and fries in the world). Nooooo.... I didn't.
THEN, once I got home and was walking up the stairs in our garage, the
thought that since I had just weighed in, I could make a frozen pizza popped
into my head. Noooo... I didn't. I made that frozen dinner. This is a
MAJOR accomplishment for me. MAJOR. I felt like I had two quarreling voices
in my head... one soothingly telling me how GOOD that other stuff would
taste... and the other more practical voice said "Just think how GOOD you
will feel after you eat the frozen dinner and... you just had a really good
week and a really good weigh-in. Why waste that?" I'm so glad that the
practical voice won out. :) In about an hour or two, I'll have a Weight
Watchers 1-point yogurt and thoroughly enjoy it.

Kimberly~
How great for you!! Those are MAJOR accomplishments! Wow, congrats on your
loss, too. WooHoo!
Frankly, I'm getting tired of the Goofus and Gallant types in my head. I'd
like to clunk their noggins together! Will they EVER go away??????
LOL!

Hi,  30 minutes of weights, 20 minutes of elliptical, 30 minutes of something that looks like elliptical but I find out now is a cross trainer thing.  I like it better than the elliptical.   amy

You could also use the regular diabetic exchange plan -- I think that's
basically what the Personal Selection plan is based on. (Or the Richard
Simmons plan.)

If you Google "Weight Watchers Personal Selection Plan", you will find a few
links with more information.

One is this one at 3fatchicks:

I've never heard of the 123Stitch board. Is it anything like the old selection plan, or is it a support group?

9a. new to list
Posted by: "Kathryn Amadon" kathrynsquilting@comcast.net getmovin58
Date: Tue May 26, 2009 9:43 pm ((PDT))

I just joined this list and thought I'd introduce myself. I've been a WWer for 12 yrs, go to meetings monthly for last 2 yrs on a regular basis. Am struggling quite a bit and have lbs that need to come off but I just keep going up up up.  I'm hoping that I can find some of that motivation I use to have with this list.

I have a home-based business, dangerous, as the way I procrastinate starting a job is to go find something to eat. Since my husband works 2nd shift I rarely cook during the week, which needs to change as well if I'm going to eat healthy.  And I'm getting real bored with the food choices I make.

So I did join the gym and recently started some of the classes to stay motivated. I plan on going to meetings on a weekly basis. I use the points plan, which worked for me in the past - but I'm considering changing to core. I'd be interested in feedback from anyone who has made that move.

That's about it. Thanks for listening

Kathryn

PS - your exercise posts are impressive.

Welcome Kathryn! Lots of motivated folks here that are always willing to
help with a pat on the back or a kick in the .....well we are here for ya.

My first thought reading your post is that you don't cook. Not really a
biggie if you like and can afford frozen meals. But I find that I enjoy
having basic meats cooked ahead and frozen individually to add to salads or
a pasta or anything I have a craving for. Like taco meats, marinated chicken
breasts, soups or chili made healthily. It's quite easy and can pretty much
be done in 1 day so to give you days of meal options. Quick and easy!

I know that the others will give you plenty of wonderful tips and advice as
well. Best of luck to you and looking forward to reading of your successes
and celebrating with you!!!!

Hugs, Deb

10a. Taco Salad
Posted by: "Faye Ridpath" ispgypsy@gmail.com fayefromtampa
Date: Wed May 27, 2009 6:42 am ((PDT))

Hi everyone!

I am craving a taco salad (I have been for a week!) but all I find (even on
the WW site) is fairly high point versions, like 8 points and up. I was
hoping to find one no more than maybe 6 points?

Can anyone help me with that?
