Kathryn that is awsome! That is support I tell ya! They want to keep you
around for a very long time. That is obvious!
So often we forget that obesity is a death sentence. Possibly even an
immediate one...sadly. It's wonderful to read when someone has the will to
live and live long and loved. Thanks for sharing your story with us. It
reminds us and lifts us up to do better.

Tory, lol, I am the same way and I have had no where near the success that
you have. But I am trying... and appreciating the fact that I am still here
and want to be here to see my grandkids graduate, get married, be a great
grandma. That's what it's all about really. Do I continue to kill myself or
do I want to live.
Sorry to be so morbid this morning. But I encountered several severely,
okay... morbidly obese women yesterday in my neighborhood organizing our
annual garage sales. I wanted to shake them! They looked so miserable! They
looked like I did before I decided to finally quit sitting here quietly
commiting suicide. I get so passionate about it at times that I know I come
across wrong. And I apologize to those that think that I do. Trying to get
our compassion and caring out to others is so difficult at times when we see
that they are really almost crying for help and making excuses when they
know that is what it is really.......
Thank you for caring and trying to make us all see what a really great thing
it is to embrace this life we have.
Hugs, Deb

This week at WW the Subject was the the last straw. Mine was when a 7 yr old friend of my son asked him why was his mom so fat. My son was brave and told him it didn't matter because he loved me. That was 53 lbs ago. I have many memories of that day. and bellieve me the one I really remember is how every time I saw that boy I silently thanked him for that was what got me to ww and got me to goal and lefetime.I remember my legs rubbing together when I walked and how my pants always caught in my rear, I had a hard time walking and keeping up with my kids. I was really reminded of this last week when I visited Hershey Park and saw the women who were like me back then. How much easier it was for me to walk that park for two days staight last week. I have 10 more lbs to get back to goal last this weeks meeting brought back so many things that I'm back on track and ready to reach goal.

Dear WW 's
In my last song and dance I forgot to tell you that my 7yr. old son is now 41 and is still in my heart. Andy his friend stopped by last Thanksgiving and I gave him a big hug. He will never know how important he is to me. In many ways he saved my life. Just before I joined WW my younger cousin found out she had diabetes. Unfortunately, she passed away at age 42 because she never lost weight or controlled her sugar. I am now 67 and keep my sugar at 101, with diet and exercise. It saddens me that she wasn't able to do that.

Carol...... boy does that all sound so familiar! How proud your son must be
now and you! You have done it. For you and your son and all the other lil
ones that hopefully you will be blessed with in your life.

Deb,
Thanks! I went to TWO functions today and stayed OP. For the first time in a very long time, I felt in control and it rocked. I went to a Barbeque for my son's baseball team. (Yeah Dominic - undefeated for the whole season). I took a veggie platter and had a cheeseburger sans the bun and watermelon and my plate was loaded! I then went to a pampered chef party where the consultant was really very good and cooked a few things as well as the hostess who is a wonderful cook and her own spread out. I was totally happy with my bottled water and didn't feel the least bit deprived. I raced home to cook dinner only to find my DH gone to McDonalds for the family so I am getting ready to cook myself some eggs and I still have points put aside for my snack tonight. Wish I hadn't spent so much at the pampered chef party but hadn't been to one in over 5 years and I really love alot of their things.

I did Deep Water Jogging for 1 hr. Yesterday I did Pilates and helped a friend move. Love the exercise but felt great doing something for a friend in need.

Hi Melissa, I'm Melissa too :). I'm 35, married mom of 2, Willie's 4
and Mary will be 9 in less than 3 weeks. I've been on WW since 6/14/07
and have gone from 222.4 to 167.9 so I know about slow, but believe me,
the difference is WONDERFUL. Even though my average is now
0.53lbs/week, I am still amazed at how much better I feel, and I bet
you feel the same.
Have a great weekend/week.

this is a great loss. A healthy one. The norm is 1-2 lbs a week. AND you MUST eat all of your points each day. No excuses. your body needs the fuel. not eating your alloted points can cause gains as well as minimal loses. This week why dont you try eating your alloted points, eating all your activity points and only the extra 35 as needed, but try to save them. I bet you will see a difference:-))))

Hang in there 1.5 lbs is great. Remember ww says 2 lbs average a week. We never know when our body is going to give up that 2 lbs. Also think of behavior goals instead of weight goals. I know we are really set on seeing the lbs. Why did you set a goal of 10 lbs in 5 weeks? Is it a special occasion?

Betsy,
Your 20 pts is the MINIMUM you MUST eat a day, if you eat less than
that(assuming that's your daily points allowance) you're liable to GAIN
weight. Also, try using more of your weekly and APs. I get 22
points/day and almost never go under on purpose(occasional is ok, just
not daily). I always use all of my WPAs and try to leave 5-10 of my
APs to get a loss.

Thank you, Melissa.
The neck is all better. I think I pulled a muscle when I was doing crunches.

Congrats on the great Wi Faye, but you might want to go to Urgent
care/ER to get the neck looked at, that doesn't sound good. Good luck!
Maybe a heating pad??

Hello all my name is Tracy I am new to the group but not new to WW. I
lost 60 pounds on WW back in 2003 and then had a baby in 2005 and to top
it off I have a thyroid condition which makes it hard. So this time
things are not going as smooth as last time I cannot for the life of me
get under 200 pounds I get to 202 then up back on 2 pounds or just stay
that weight and have been doing this for about 3/4 weeks. I am at a
point were I can feel my self starting to get depressed and wanting to
eat. I am hopping this group helps me stay focused and keep going with
my weight loss journey which has been about 21 pounds with 40/45 to go.
cant weight to meet and chat with you all [:D]
