I don't care for the premade freezer bought meals so it really limits me. I love chili so that's one I can do.  I should do some marinated chicken too - love chicken and can easily add it to salad. Any specific marinades that are WW friendly?

Thanks for the suggestions - Slow cooker meals would work. I just joined another list for receipes. Does anyone have any suggestions for websites that have the WW points included? Or is anyone familiar with the excel spreadsheet someone had available at some point in the past that enabled you to calculate the points? Changed computers and didn't save the file.

Thanks!

Subject: [Serious-Weight-Watchers] Hello, welcome, great job and WI

Hello all, I hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather. Welcome to all the new and returning ladies. I am Tracylea from Indiana, I started WW in March of 2009 at 231 and have lost 32 lbs so far. I am a keeper of my home and love the life changes I am making on WW. My goal weight is 131.

Today's WI was grand, down 2.2, below 200, officially. I have gone back and forth the last couple of weeks. Now I am down to 24 points a day, waaaaaaa. Vacation is in two weeks, my goal is to be at 195 when I leave and to maintain while I am gone. I have decided to change my short goal even though I am a pound from the last. Motivation.

Congrats to everyone who lost, stayed the same or stayed/joined the program. Remember each day is a new day to start all over or to continue with yesterdays success.
with love and blessings,

The gym I belong to has free daycare(up to 2 hours) and it's open most
of the hours the gym isn't excpet it's closed totally on Sundays. I
try to go on my day off or after my dh gets home, but my son loves to
go if he's home and I want to work out(my daughter, 9, thinks it's
boring! mostly because they don't have anything but little kids toys).

Well, I got on the treadmill for eight minutes today. I plan to add a minute
a day until I get to 30 minutes and then for up in speed and then use the
incline and increase to 60 minutes. It's going to take awhile but that my
goal anyway.

Well, I had a three day weekend, with Memorial Day, and sure thought I'd gained. But I didnt! I actually lost .8! I was so happy! I'm almost to my 5% goal! :)

Hope everyone is doing great! My mom (carolin_b_98 on here) goes for glaucoma surgery this morning, so please keep her in your thoughts. She just made it to her 10% goal! I'm so proud of her.

Y'all are a big help for us. Y'all are our meeting between the meetings! Good luck to all!

Hugs,
April

9a. Deb's Thursday morning weigh-in/ confession
Posted by: "Pippylngstkng" imonlyhumn@gmail.com pippylngstkg
Date: Thu May 28, 2009 9:57 am ((PDT))

Well, I went... I faced the music, I mean scale and admitted to myself and all at the meeting that I gained this week. That I was a hydro-hypocrite...*sob* I didn't drink my water....for over 5 days I have only drank the full amount one..... and I knew it wasn't gonna be pretty. My rings were tight, my piggies were snausages, and without details..let's just say that there were few trips to the john and some were fruitless...(poor choice of words, but what the hey). All water related. Other than that I was a model WW gal. I exercised, I stayed OP with most of my daily requirements and even ate a few of my APs or WP...whatever. But the dang water got me! Bet me that tomorrow morning I will be down what I gained and more as I am drowning myself again today...and tomorrow...and the next day. And the next time we go camping..I'll pee in the weeds instead of passing up my water.*blush* But I did get my 16 week lil trinket as she forgot to give it to me 2 weeks ago. So onward and downward. Cheers! *tips water bottle to all*

+1.9

My Name is Connie and I joined WW today...I have been a member 4x before, but have never been this heavy in my life! I am looking forward to getting to know all in this group. I am 58 and retired early. Have 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters. I am really committing myself this time to reach goal--1 day at a time. Connie :-)

Welcome Connie! Terrific decision. Do it for those precious grandbabies!
They are so much more fun when you can do things with them instead of
watching them do it. I am almost singing the theme song from the TV
show..lol... "One day at a time". lalalalalala...

This is so very important...It is important to accept the idea of lifestyle change instead of weight loss. The ww'ers who maintain their wt-loss are doing this. Sometimes the old habits find their way back into our life that soesn't mean that the habits have to stay.  I just got back from 10 days with family and sure enough I fell into some of my old ways. I really went into vacation mode. I gained 3 lbs  but I think "Normal" people do that too. But the minute I got back home I was into a meeting, the planner came out and the activity started again.

Kathryn and Devika, a familiar story from the two of you. So many of us have
the same story. I believe it is because it is work to stay focused unless we
accept it as a "life style" instead of a weight loss program. Afterall to
maintain it must remain a lifestyle not just a program to get us there. Is
it not? So let's all adapt to this lifestyle together and get focused on
what changes we want in our lives. Mainly...being healthier and more
freedom. Freedom to live life to the fullest and break the chains that keep
us in a chair or sitting on the sidelines wishing we could be able to enjoy
even the small things in life. Let's look forward to moving and I mean
MOVING in the right direction together. Set small goals and celebrate each
one! Which will lead us on to our bigger goals and a better, longer life.

Looking forward to many "woohoo" moments with you both!

Hugs,
Deb from Illinois

Oh Tina, I feel your pain! I have had 6 children and the stomach thing is a big issue with me too! I believe that it keeps me from feeling like I have really lost all the weight that I have! The exercises that I have been doing for my abs have been working but I wonder if I could be doing more! Anyway, I am 5'4 and my personal goal weight was 135 (I set my goal weight with my leader at 137 so this was my personal goal). I am down to 121.8 (gained back 1.8 the past couple of weeks). I started at 169.4 and know that you can get down to that weight! Hope that we can all be an encouragement to you!

Welcome to the group!

Blessings,

I have the wii fit I have been working out on it everyday. I feel so good. I am hoping for some encouragment to keep me going. My husband and family doesn't think I need to lose any more.. I have had 4 children so I have the baby weight and loose tummy skin from being pregnant. I really want it to be smaller if at all possible. I HATE my tummy hanging over my jeans!!!!!!! I hope w/starting this again. It will shrink. I know I won't be the same as I was before children. I would like to get pretty darn close!!!!!

Thanks Carolin.  That's what I was planning to do but guess I wanted some affirmation that it couldn't be 22 points.
Take care,
Terri

No way that was 22 points! I would just break it down, figure what the tortillas are and the sauce, most of the veggies are free

My friend and I went to our meeting tonight and it was a good week for both of us. We hadn't had dinner and went to Islands. We both had 2 yaki tacos and a side salad. When I checked DWLZ for points it came up 22 but without the fiber. I check Islands nutricion info and it doesn't include the fiber either. Does anyone know what the point value is and do you think 22 is correct? It was on a whole wheat tortilla, tomatoes, pineapple, chicken, slight bit of cheese and the teriyaki sauce. How would you count it?
Lesson learned now to know the points before ordering.
Thanks for your help.
Terri
