Still sounds like you have done wonderful Ellie.
I feel as though I have feel off the wagon also and I am only almost 15 months out. Fighting a 15 lb weight gain, but also quit smoking 3 months ago. It's so hard.
The pouch test really works, as long as you stick to it after it's over. it's easy to fall back into the rut... I need to get my mind focused and start it also.

I think day 1 thru 2/3 is all liquids. I stayed on a lot longer. It helped so much even felt better. I'm having a hard time giving up my 12 grain bread or whole wheat.
The end, stay on chicken? Proteins I assume. Are you going to start it?

Day one through three would be okay but I've become a pectarian (some fish and I'll eat eggs or cheese but no beef, lamb, pork or chicken) so I'm not sure what to do for day 4 and 5. Tofu maybe? I find it a little hard to keep up on my protein but at least I don't feel as much guilt so its worth it to me. I eat nuts though, maybe they would work? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

We have a pouch test document in our Files section, which you can download. It is called "Pouch Rules For Dummies". All new members of this group receive it in an automatic mailing (unless Yahoo has changed the settings on me).

Adding in just a little exercise has meant such a big difference for me. I was sedentary for many months and could just about maintain my weight around 150-155. After moving to Florida in April, I started to racewalk* on a treadmill at a 5 degree incline at 3.5 mph for 20 minutes 3-4 times a week. Without even making the attempt to diet, I have lost 7 pounds (started tracking it at 150, am down to 143 and holding for a week) since April. This may not sound like a lot, but when you are so near your goal weight, it is not easy to lose in general, and at this lower weight, 7 pounds makes a tangible difference. I anticipate going to 140 and staying there.

I love racewalking because it is very easy on your knees, and you turn your torso from side to side, which works your abdominal and oblique muscles.

Has anyone in this group had Lap band surgery?

I am having a hard time losing weight after my surgery. I cannot find much
food that will go down. But cookies go down real good. I am so hungry by
the end of the day that I usually give in and eat them. Help I need
suggestions on things to eat. Besides shakes. I live on those.

Emily
