been done. I have to back to my daughter's new home (a two-hour drive)
today, so I talk to you guys probably tomorrow after the offical weigh in.*

as long as you eat 1 c of lettuce, you can count it towards 1 serving
of veggies. as for the oil, I put it over tv dinners after they cook
or over my oatmeal when it's cool. I also spoon it over spaghetti or
rice or veggies. use 1 tsp at a time or the points are higher!

Sadly sometimes Kerri... it's sabotage. But then again... sometimes it's the
truth. I have a DD that is anorexic. She admitted it. She struggles, I see
it all the time. She's not at the danger point any longer... I don't think.
But she has to fight it. She used to be heavy just a few years ago. Poor
self esteem turned her the other way. So it's a matter of what the case is I
guess. First! congrats on keeping the weight off for over 4 years!! But I
also am 5'7. I am large framed. I know... no such thing any more..BULL! But
if I weighed 133 I would look like I was ready for a coffin. Sorry........
maybe to her you do look "too thin". Do you eat? Are you keeping it off by
eating healthy and working out?
Huge hugs,
Deb

Tory,
I so needed to read your words. I have been gaining back some of
what I lost. I briefly stopped going to WW meetings because of the
frustrated comments from the receptionists regarding my gains every
week. Well, I restarted 10 weeks ago after a six week break. While
I would love to say it was motivation that caused this to happen it
was not. It was drive and determination.
While it may be a bad period I am going through I am also learning a
lot from this. I have many days when I am not motivated to the
extent I was. I wasn't motivated to train for a half marathon that I
paid for, it came and went, and I just could not get motivated like I
was for last year's event. However, I NEVER GAVE UP. I still did
light workouts even when I didn't want to because I know that I will
feel better after a workout. I also know that great feeling of
getting into the smaller sizes after way too many years of not being
able to shop in any department other than WOMEN'S PLUS SIZES.
It is not motivation that I need. It is the drive and determination
to be healthy, which will cause us to be happier, and ultimately
spark that motivation we seek to come the realization that this is
for LIFE in more than one way.
So, your words today stuck a chord in me and help me to realize why I
still continue to work at this life style change even through the
rough periods. It's the drive and determination within me to get
back to a healthier happier body. I have tasted that "almost
victory" of goal weight and come heck or high water I will get it
back.
Thank you for your insight.

Tory, I am 58. I started this at 58. I have mentioned that I went into a
serious depression 5 years ago after we moved and I became a hermit and
gained over 70#. This is a matter of life for me. I have been taken off of
one BP med and hope to be off the second in June. I feel 500% better after
50# loss.
I went to a graduation party last nite where several of my 3 DD's friends
attended. All I heard from them is how great that I looked. My kids told me
that as well and so did their husbands! Holy smokes! My middle grandson ran
up and put his arms around me and gave me a huge hug and kiss and exclaimed
"grandma! you have lost weight!" I was deliriously happy. 4 of my grandkids
commented that they could get their arms around me now. I played with them.
I danced with them. It was a terrific time. There was a fresh fruit salad,
steamed/chilled carrots with splenda, and lean seasoned, shredded beef
without a bun for me to eat. I passed on the cake, the oil soaked pasta
salads and all of the other delish things usually brought to these things.
All because I knew that I looked and felt good and I am on my way to making
that only better.
Choices...... focus...... will to live life. Not be content to just sit on
the sidelines and bide my time anymore.
And I owe a lot of the past few weeks of this focus to a couple of groups,
including this one, that I have joined. Thanks to all of you and please take
care of you! You and your family deserve it!!!!!!!!!
Hugs, Deb

Choices..... . focus...... will to live life. Not be content to just sit on
the sidelines and bide my time anymore.
And I owe a lot of the past few weeks of this focus to a couple of groups,
including this one, that I have joined. Thanks to all of you and please take
care of you! You and your family deserve it!!!!!!!!!
Hugs, Deb

Good grief, Tory! I can imagine that comment was a slam directed at you! I
am betting she doesn't want 10 extra years because she feels bad all the
time. I am hoping to live a long life - but I certainly want it to be
healthy! I know you are so glad you got that weight off!
BTW - are you going to a chiropractor for that back pain? I couldn't live
without my chiropractor!!
Kelley
One time a lady I work with (who does seem to OFTEN engage mouth before
engaging brain) said to me, "Well I heard that working out only gets you
like 10 extra years! I'd rather sit on my butt and forget about it. I mean
who wants ten extra years at the end of their life? I'm sure!"
Yes, it was a direct slam at me.

You know, I have heard comments from others on the group (mainly a couple of
months ago before I took a little break) about having less-than-nice
receptionists and even some leaders. This makes me all the more thankful
that I have never encountered anything like that. I LOVED my leader in West
Des Moines, Iowa. She was the BEST. The leaders here in Greensboro, NC are
good too - and the receptionists are top notch. They had a trainee a while
back who was quite clueless and seemed to be taking a LONG time to learn her
job (bless her heart LOL) but she was extremely nice.
So I just wanted to take the time to send kudos out to all those
leaders/receptionists I've had over the years in Lafayette, Indiana;
Champaign, Illinois; West Des Moines, Iowa; and now Greensboro, North
Carolina! Way to go ladies!! LOL
Kelley
I briefly stopped going to WW meetings because of the
frustrated comments from the receptionists regarding my gains every
week.

I ran the Minneapolis Half Marathon today. I finished almost 11 minutes slower than my first half, as I was super tired from lack of sleep, didn't have but 2 packets of sports beans and water for breakfast this morning, and unlike the previous half I ran, this one had some hills. But it's all good, because at least I was able to complete it! :)

Isn't that a good feeling Cathy?? It's so impowering knowing that you are in
control. It's a choice to be in control and you did it! You should be all
puffed up tonite and I am very proud of you! It's hard! But obvious that you
WANT IT! (Congrats to Dominic!, lol)

I just joined this list and thought I'd introduce myself. I've been a WWer
for 12 yrs, go to meetings monthly for last 2 yrs on a regular basis. Am
struggling quite a bit and have lbs that need to come off but I just keep
going up up up. I'm hoping that I can find some of that motivation I use to
have with this list.

Tracylea,
Congrats on getting under 200! That is great! You are now in "one"derland!
YAY!!! Keep up the good work!!
Kelley
Today's WI was grand, down 2.2, below 200, officially. I have gone back and
forth the last couple of weeks. Now I am down to 24 points a day, waaaaaaa.
Vacation is in two weeks, my goal is to be at 195 when I leave and to
maintain while I am gone. I have decided to change my short goal even though
I am a pound from the last. Motivation.
Congrats to everyone who lost, stayed the same or stayed/joined the program.
Remember each day is a new day to start all over or to continue with
yesterdays success.
with love and blessings,
Tracylea from Indiana

Jennifer – I know you will get that .4 off this week and make your goal! Go
for it!!
Kelley
Im only .4 away from hitting goal, so its doable. I have my nephew this
Saturday hopefully so I may only have a couple beers Friday night. The
drinking really held me back this week. I wont drink or eat bad with my
nephew. Going on 19 weeks with no gain. Yahoooooooo. I got a few compliments
this weekend. One was "Holy crap, how much weight have you lost, you look
great" Another one said I looked great. Then my dad said I've lost too much
weight and look too
skinny(I didn't like that one). So my goal this week is to lose .4. Its
doable.
Starting Weight--161.0
Current Weight--141.4
Total Loss--19.6 pounds
Goal Weight--141
Goal Before June 12th--Lose 7 pounds. (1.6 lbs away).
WOO HOO. Wish me luck!
Have a Passionette Day!!!

Congratulations Diane!!
Kelley
Another great weigh in. Another 3.6 lbs GONE for a total of 24 lbs!
Between my two friends and myself, we have lost over 50 lbs!
Now to keep my motivation up to move. I am sick with something I caught
from my 4 year old daughter. Not fun trying to exercise when you aren't
feeling well!
