Exercise can definitely affect your WI. Most likely your muscles are retaining water. However, the biggest effect of exercise on your weight is the long term positive impact! It's going to speed your metabolism, tone your body, and improve your overall cardiovascular health. What ever you do, DON'T stop exercising!!!
BTW, great job on 5 great losses!

Meetings are great and I would have never stuck with it if it weren't for the meetings, the tips and encouragement that I received there, and the accountability that I received, knowing that someone else would see how much I gained or lost!

Hi Kilianna-
There is a saying in a group I belong to that goes:
"If you stop going to meetings you aren't around to see what happens to people who stop going to meetings."
The one thing I've maintained in all of my struggles the past few months is going to my weekly meeting no matter what. Now, I've had a great weekend and stayed OP this weekend which is when I usually struggle the most. My leader has been incredibly supportive too.
I think you can see which way my vote sways.

There was another quote that someone had said in this group...
"If you lost weight, your meeting needs you. If you gained weight, you need
the meeting."

Thank you everyone. I really appreciate all your input. I really love my
meetings. I'm just not a perky person that early in the morning LOL.
But I decided that my meetings are more important so I'm sticking with the
meetings for the summer and I'll hopefully be able to switch back to Fridays
after school starts. I quit going to meetings and gained a bit back but I've
managed to get rid of 28 pounds. I'd like to get rid of the rest BG.
thank you guys again.

6. Yummy New Snack
Posted by: "Faye Ridpath" ispgypsy@gmail.com fayefromtampa
Date: Mon Jun 15, 2009 3:35 pm ((PDT))
Today I was at Winn Dixie because I saw a new yogurt variety (I love yogurt)
by Dannon Fit and Lite. Watermelon. So I went to see if I could find it but
they didn't have it. But when I was looking for it I found a new pudding by
Kozy Shack. It's called Kozy Shack Simply Well. They are 100 calorie
servings, only 1 gram of fat. 1 point a container! Oh I forgot to tell you
the flavor. lol It was green chai tea and very very very good. Yum! They
come in packages of 4. It was very filling too. I didn't need to eat again
for a long time after I ate it. I saw they also had a dark chocolate I have
to try that next time. I wasn't sure if I'd like it or I would gotten both
this time. But when I got diagnosed with my diabetes and wanted to find
things I could eat I tried something by Kozy Shack and hated it but I guess
I just hadn't aquired the taste for healthy foods yet cuz I also couldn't
stand the taste of diet soda and now love it.
My other favorite snack (which comes to 2 or 3 points depending how many
chips I use) is to take Tostido's Hint of Lime tortilla chips, put some FF
cheese on top and nuke it for 30 seconds. Yum! Low point nachos! Sometimes
depending on how I'm doing on points that day, I also add FF sour cream to
them. The only thing I haven't been able to work around though is even
though they are good, it seems when you use FF cheese it kind of has a dried
out aspect as opposed to regular cheese that is kind of melty looking when
heated. Another thing I like to do is take not pita bread what's that other
stuff? lol Tortilla shells? The soft things anyway and put cheese on that
and nuke it for 30 seconds. Burrito!

Subject: [Serious-Weight-Watchers] The Daily Plate
Have any of you used The Daily Plate website? This site is awesome! My dad
is from Iran, so we ate a lot of Iranian foods when I was growing up. So
sometimes when I am feeling homesick (my dad, brother, and his wife all live
in IN and I live in FL) I go to a really good Iranian restaurant we have
here but I haven't eaten there since being on WW cuz I didn't know where to
find the points for anything there. So I googled what I ususally eat there
(I said nutrition information for kubideh) and it pulled up some sites so I
went to the Daily Plate and it was there! I couldn't believe it! I looked it
up cuz Marcella asked if we could go there tomorrow cuz she likes their
chicken. But if anyone sees anything they think might be a better option?
Here is the website:
http://www.moraescafe.com
And it gives the menu so maybe someone else can tell me something else and
suggest what they think the points are for it? Marcella is really down
because she is major daddy's girl so upset he's going to be gone so I want
to take her there to cheer her up. Then we might go (I have to look and see
how our money is doing) to this place where you paint your own pottery. It's
called You do the Dishes. She loves it. But if we do, I'll just let her do
something. It would be pricy if I do, too.
So while I'm talking about points for foods when eating out. Hubby is going
out of town for 3 days (he left tonight) so we went out tonight to IHOP.
They have one part of the menu that has NI for some items. But it only had
the calories and fat and some other things but no fiber. So I figure I may
have overestimated. I plugged in the info it showed and came up with 11
points for my dinner. But that was without the fiber. I had balsamic glazed
chicken with mushrooms and steamed broccoli.

I went to the doctor today and he said I really needed to get serious about
my weight. So I joined this group in hopes that it will help me. I was on a
group before and lost 80 pounds but it snuck back on when I wasn't looking.
I feel so bad about it, but I will do it again. Thanks in advance for your
help.

Good Evening all,
Well it is Monday and my week is already off to a rocky start. Spent the weekend doing some gardening and power washing the deck (dad is sealing it tonight). On Saturday, it was a glorious day until it decided to hail and rain for about 1 hr in the late afternoon. Dad decided that KFC was the dinner order of the day and so I succumbed to it twice (reruns on Sunday) managed to eat only white meat and no skin (except for 1 piece). I am back to nights tonight for two (hope my back can handle the heavy workload that my ward is) and then on days for the weekend.
I leave for 11 days in Ottawa (with 2 days in Montreal). I hope to hit WW on my vacation as it helped last summer as well. My question for all of you is how to manage this vacation. I am lucky in that only the trip to Montreal is in a hotel. I am staying in my friend's apartment. I can stop at the farmer's market nearly every day but since this is a vacation, my friends are going to want to go out for a bunch of meals. I plan to walk for the most part or take public transit (friends will be working and going to school on and off the trip). Any pointers on staying OP?
Now that I have finally started to see the scale going in the downwards direction I really do not want to sabotage it. Feeling a bit panicky about the trip so any help or tips or whatever you guys can throw at me this week would be great.
PS: If anyone lives in Ottawa and can give me pointers on things or places to eat would be great. Did most of the museums last summer (will do some on Canada Day) so any off the beaten path ideas would be awesome.
