YAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jennifer I knew you would do it, as Michele said now comes the tricky part, don't let your guard down try to think of this as a life change and not a diet that seems to be working for me. I have been on this merry-go-round a long time its time for us to get off. CONGRATULATIONS keep up the great work!
God Bless look forward to hearing more

I'm proud of myself today. I really did not want to go to the gym and preferred a nap - BUT did go and do 1 hr at a 3.0 incline, 3.8mph. I was sweaty and happy. My goal this month is to get to the gym 6 days a week til the 28th since I'll then be out of town for 6 days - which always throws me off.

6. Hi Everyone... I'm Joan and you ladies inspire me.

Hi there.... I joined this group silently last week and have been reading all your posts but not replying until now. And... WOW... I sure get lots of emails from this group in my "inbox"... you are a very active group and have inspired me. :-)
Ok... here's my deal. I have been very successful on weight watchers in the past. I've lost 10 here.. 20 here... 40 here etc. etc. etc.
I am 5'3 and have gone up and down my entire life. When getting dressed in the morning I just go through my closet from size 5 to 16... wherever I fit that day, month or year... I've got the clothes. Up until now..
I maintained my weight for a few years at between 150-160. Well.. I am a commodities broker and have been successfully self employeed for the past 10 years. Then the economic downturn. No business. So what did I do.. ate and ate and ate. I am now a whopping 193 and have no more clothes that fit. I look ridiculous. Also... I need to be looking for a job. I am now 48 attractive but fat competing against 20 year olds in the work force. Not a pretty picture.
Additionally.... My body just hurts. I have taken on several jobs just to make ends meet until I can find a decent career job until my business comes back. I am on my feet all the time and I am telling you... I feel so old because of the weight. It's horrible.
Of course... all I want to do is hibernate. It's just terrible.
I know for so many reasons that I want to begin again. I know that being on this site will help me. I love support groups and believe in them. I have been your posts and you all seem so wonderful and so supportive. You've all been where I am and it seems to be that you are all successful and heading in the right direction.
Presently.. I am in the process of moving. We will do the actual move on the 14th. So... I am not sure that this is the perfect time to start this lifestyle change. Perhaps I can just begin watching what I am doing and cut out all the junk food.
Any suggestions or support that you can offer... I would greatly appreciate. I am just overwhelmed by what I have done to myself.

Just wanted to check in. I read the posts everyday but don't always have much to say. I've been sick for the last 3 weeks and lost motivation. I really couldn't workout and all I wanted was ice cream. I gained 5 lbs but I got back on track monday. I made myself go for a walk. Breathing still isn't the bast but I felt better. I weigh in tomorrow so i hope I'm down again. Tammy in Iowa

Hello all. What a wonderful day it is. WI today 197.4, whoo hoo. Down 1.6, total lost........33.6 lbs. Good-by pounds.
Again I have been hearing alot of the "I only lost a pound or 1/2 a pound" talk on the group. I have lost 33.6 lbs since March 5th, 12 easy weeks, a few pounds at a time. Time flies, and so will your weight loss. Just think at a pound or so a week, I will weigh..........188 (my next goal) in a few short weeks. Then on and on.

Tracylea - you are so right. Though it's hard to understand why we can't just melt those lbs away, the slow and steady loss is the way to go. I plan on 1.0 a week and if by chance it's higher it just offsets those few lower weeks. I figure I have only 3 more months to goal at a slow and steady pace.
BTW - CONGRATS on the continual weight loss and getting into the 100's. Yahooooo for you. I'll happy dance for you and burn a few calories on the way to my car. (neighbors probably will think I'm nuts)

I'm serious about this exercise thing this month. Today I did 2 classes back to back, Body Vive (which is more stretching and movement) and then Body Pump with the heavier weight challenge. (then tomorrow I hope to do the treadmill which helps me recover from a big day...)

Well, since I went back to WW last week - after a two-month hiatus - I went
back today for my weigh in. Last week I was still in the system, so they
don't have me officially starting over - although they did give me a new
weigh in book. LOL.
So this week I weighed in and was down 2.6 pounds! YAY!

Hi Everyone,
Just a quick note to re-introduce myself. I was an active participant on
this board last summer but becasue of crazy work and school schedules,
had to put MANY things on the back burner, including WW (although I
continued to receive and enjoy posts from this board.) The good news is
that in the past 9 months I have not gained back any of the weight I
lost last summer! WHEW!
I am a 43 yo mom to five great kids ages 23-14, and I have a great hubby
of 24 years. I am a senior at a local university, majoring in music (2
more quarters - yay!)
Last week I weighed about 218 pounds. And now I am ready to lose some
more!
Thanks in advance for your encouragement and support. One note: I tend
to be mostly vegetarian so if anyone has any great veg meal ideas or
websites, please share!
