1. Vitamin Infusion Therapy

Has anyone had any experience with Vitamin Infusion Therapy ?

From what I have read, I believe that it would be beneficial to people that have malabsorption deficiencies due to Roux-en-y.

The nutrients (vitamins etc.) enter the blood directly instead of via digestion.

Any info would be appreciated,

 George

Lee,

I'm 16 1/2 months out and I don't have hunger attacks very often.  Something sounds really good, so I'll eat it, take just a few bites, and I can't eat anymore.  I have wasted so much food by doing this.
At three months out, I was really sick.  Numerous trips to the dr. & er.  Then I got mono, which really decreased my appetite.

OKkkk, lol, nobody told me about the return of the vicarious hunger at 3
mos. But then again, did someone mention that at 3 mos the healing is complete
and your system doesn't hurt anymore. So then the hunger does indeed
return, hard, and that's the way it is going to be? We have to deal with it like
that from then on?

Well, this past week, first week in July 2009, after 3 full months and I
had surgery on the 2nd of March, my hunger has returned in full force. Ouch-y!
Now to get back on protein powders and see if I can calm the tiger.
Any suggestions? What did anyone else go through?

peace, Lee

I am 15 1/2 months out and don't even feel like I have had the surgery. I can eat, nothing bothers me really. I am so frustrated right now. Was down to 194 lbs and quit smoking and back up to 209 now. This isn't good. I graze a lot. I think a lot of it is head hunger. I need to get a grip. Any suggestions?
