Did you go back in this group and make it private so that only members can access the info? That will be another way to keep the lurkers down. I still can't understand what someone gets out of stealing info to another group.

Thank you all for your very kind words and support. I'm upset about this, it's a violation of our privacy, that I have really tried to keep within the confines of this group. On the plus side, that site does not appear to be very accessible/readable, and there is no advertising I can find. I am hopeful that Yahoo will make it stop. I will follow up with them.

You're 100% right Dorothy.....I just hit the panic button. I do not post
personal information on this site but I have in the past with another yahoo
group. I found some of those posts too so it is not just us. Panic can
cause us to do.say crazy things.
Vic you are amazing and I have learned so much from this group, From
what doctors to use to how to overcome some problems. THANK YOU VIC. I
just have to remember not to panic.

Kell, It is easy to find. Google itself will send you alerts where you name
or email address is being used without your consent as a safely precausioin
and then once you get the info you can act on it by informing google that
this was put on without your perrmission at all and then they have to deal
with their articles of privacy. That all. They has switched people to digest
and there much have been a box that an asked to opts opt of being listed on
free floaring blog spots and so forth.
Howfully they will be able to take care of that part of their problme this
this. Yahoo has not made a button to stop digest forms sneking out onto
blogs,
But thatis a kuy'SHUT DOWN all DIGEST FORMA for awhil and see if this fixes
it until good and yohh get it iogether.

I found it., I am a snoop on the internet, moderator for many years and
internet user for many many more. Been around and I know how to work it. I have
thing set up to find my name where it is being used withoutmy permission
and of course I want to know about it as soon as possible.
This came up and it invovled a whole group. Is it an oversite on yahoo? or
is the digest buttons remaining open on yahoogroups? IS someone a memeber
there and using out words and not thinking much about it at all? All of these
have to be covered right away and yahoo has to be made aware of it too, in
order for it to stop.
Thats all, plain and simple. We did the same things all the time for every
little thing dealing with privacy on the web. It all works the sme way.

I have sent a letter to google. After all, they are fairly new and still
have lumps to flatten out in their systems. students at Stanford University as
a research project to create a better form of search. The domain Google.com
was not actually registered until September 15 1997 and the company Google,
Inc. was incorporated on September 4, 1998.
I was at the computer way before '98 Google. Started up so this is new then
many older search machines, Alta vista I used a lot.
I found a glitch in google and they have to know about it soon enough. Sign
the petition to get their heads in gear to where they can check this breech
out.
