Laura,

I didn't start exercising until I had lost 50 pounds. I'm not really recommending that, just telling you the truth. I was very resistent to exercise. I started out by walking a half-mile and worked my way up until now I am jogging 3 miles regularly. I now enjoy exercising and sweating and everything. When you decide your ready to exercise just start out slow and make small increases weekly (or whenever) and soon you will be amazed. I know you have real health problems, but whatever exercise you can get will make you feel better in mind and body. It really, really does.

I haven't begun  to exercise at all yet. I know that is important and I always loved exercise. Now I am starting this process so deconditioned from having been ill for I guess that last 8 or 9 years that I haven't figured out where to start. Yet. You give me more hope.

That's right folks after a year and a half of committed effort I am down 5
lbs. this morning to are you
ready?.....................................................196.6 lbs. !!!!

I am so freakin' excited and happy! All my hard work is truly paying off!
Not long now before I weigh less than my husband. LOL

What am I doing to celebrate? Well the free concert was cancelled for
tonight so we are taking a motorcycle ride down to Barton Springs pool and
going for a nice icy cold swim after work. It'll be around 100F so the
water will be nice. Oh and I'll wear the new swim suit I bought. :o)

Thank you so much to all the people that have been here for me cheering me
on. Y'all have all been a huge part of my successes so far!

Spencer is taking Friday off to pack up the van and go shopping, so that leaves today and tomorrow to finish laundry and everything else I have to do. We'll be back on the 19th :) I'll have my laptop with me while we're there, but not sure if I'll ever turn it on LOL! See ya when we get home!!

I totally agree, we are going camping this weekend and I figured I would pack my food needs. If the junk isn't there well I can't eat it. I definitly plan on having a s'more. I think everybody needs to treat themselves every now and then. I try not to deprive myself because hopefully this is my way of eating for the rest of my life. I really do not feel like I'm dieting, I just eat better. I've been doing this since Oct and feel great. Have a good time on your vacation

We are leaving to go camping on Saturday morning and will be gone until the following Sunday; I know that it's going to be next to impossible to stay 100% plan, but if I focus my energy on trying to eat well, then at least I'll be trying! Working out will be tough; lots of walking, but that's about it. So, here's my plan: Until we get back, I'm going to concentrate on the food basics, writing down everything, drink lots of water, and stay away from my trigger foods. When we get back, I'll jump full force back into exercising and staying on my food plan. The hardest part for me is the eating, once I get that straightened out, exercising just fits right in. But, until I get my issues with food sorted out (and I have many!!), no matter how hard I work out, eating as much as I do

Hi Gang,

I have lost about 50 lbs over the past couple of years. Going slowly but I have kept it off, which is my biggest win. Now I have to lose about another 50 and I want it to go faster this time. I am starting again right now! I want to get in really good shape, too. I think being active and in shape is one of the greatest pleasures in life!

Hey

I just joined WW for the umpteenth time today. I have a chronic illness and everytime I join it seems like I wind up in the hospital. Finally illness under control.

Spent the day getting groceries and organizing things but tell me how do you get "motivated" to stay on this? It seems that when I get tired, depressed, upset, etc then I just say forget it. I have approximately 80 pounds to lose and I am 54 years old.

If I lose this weight, most if not all of the health problems will be gone!
