Only 68 more days that I will be able to use the gym at work.
I have decided if I am still there by Sept 17, thats the last day, I am going to go into work at 5 am just so I can get one last workout in. I imagine once our shift is over, they will take our swipe cards and security will walk us out of the building.

I walked today. I pulled my back out. I do not know how, but the dr said it is siadica. I am scheduled for physical therapy on Monday.
I am just doing mild exercising like walking until I recover.

HI all,
I am new to this group. By the size of the group, I am surprised to see it so quiet. In any case, I finished my first week on WW and had my second weigh-in and I was down 4.1 pounds.
Start: 241
Current: 236
Take care,
Elaine

I would like to say....way to go Elaine. And I will. But I don't know if I'll hear from the moderator.
I thanked someone a few days ago, and was told by the moderator to answer to that person directly, not to the list........so that could be why this is a quiet list despite the size of it. My first weigh in will be on Tuesday, I just started too. :-)

Would you please send me a copy of that email? That doesn't sound like behavior of any of our moderators, and it is not a rule.
The only time we ever ask things to go off list is when they get completely off topic. So I would appreciate it very much if you would forward the email to me so I can take care of things.
Thank you,
Listmom Lyn

You must be confusing us with another list. You joined this group on the 8th and I just went through the moderator archives, and there has been no post by you that was denied. Further, there has been no posting here by you at all. It could not have been this list. I rarely deny posts.
This list runs in spurts. Sometimes we have prolific posters, sometimes not.

I thought it was from this list. If I am mistaken, I certainly do apologize. I thought it was from someone named Ron or Rod. I have deleted my 'Delete File', or I would try and find it for you.
I do apologize if that is not something that this list requires. I certainly was not trying to stir up trouble, but was just thinking that maybe that's why it seemed quiet.
I must've gotten this mixed up with another Diabetic group, although I don't think I joined another one recently, but once again, I do apologize. :-(

Judee, not a problem at all.
It raised a red flag for me, because that's not how we operate. We don't do things like that. So I took the time to look through the archives to check it out.
Years ago I joined a big recipe group that was very active. I sent a thank you for an ISO someone answered and was blasted that "we don't do that here, it takes up too much space." I quit the group, because even though they didn't like those kinds of posts due to space, I find manners more important. Thank you's are a good thing. They're easy to delete, if people aren't interested in reading.

4a. Hi From Australia
Posted by: "ambaskye@ymail.com" ambaskye@ymail.com ambaskye@ymail.com
Date: Fri Jul 10, 2009 6:42 pm ((PDT))
Hello,
I am trying so hard to lose weight. Quite a few people have suggested I
try being banded... but I am on 110mgms of slow release Oxycontin
Morphine plus panadeine forte & other meds every day & am scared they
will get stuck & not work properly.
I weigh 134.6kilos...not sure what weight that would be in USA
measurements.
Because it is a painful sciatic condition I suffer from I cannot
exercise at all & my surgeon says he prefers not to operate on patients
over 100 kilos...so I have a lot of weight to lose.
I would appreciate your friendship & help.
Hugs from Australia,
Valerie x0x

Welcome Valerie! I know alot of people here in the States that have
lost ALOT of weight without exercise(or very little exercise), so it IS
possible, you just have to stick to the WW program. Can you do water
exercise at all?(even walking in the pool?) I know my mom has really
bad arthritis, but she does water aerobics and loves it.
Good luck to you. btw, there are 2.2 kgs in a pound, so we could
convert your weight to lbs if we wanted to(not necessary).

Thank you list mom for keeping this a list that is positive and also helpful.
I find that the list has been a little quiet but I think that my be because many of us are on vacation, some of us are lurkers until something comes up that we want to weigh in on. Personally, I'm on vacation and have been lurking....I'm holding my own while vacationing and finding food to be very expensive but still trying to stay on plan...Thanks to everyone who writes on this list.

Thanks, Carol. I wish I had more time to participate, but I don't. I am behind the scenes, and I do read posts.
It's summer, you're right, people are on vacation, doing 5Ks, etc.
Enjoy your vactaion and good job holding your own!
