You'll get there, Jennifer! I started where just walking down the block
would wind me.
Today I:
- Held a runner's bootcamp class (1 hour)
- Swam with a friend 1 mile in 45 minutes or so (across the lake...it was
awesome)
- Kayaked for an hour
- Ran 2.5 miles to round out my run to 5 miles
Now I don't do this every single day, obviously! I'd burn out! But I was
able to do all of this, and at one time I was right where you are! You'll
get there! Just keep on keeping on!

I got like that last summer from over doing exercise. I took Aleve for the
pain. I would try to get the swelling down before continuing to exercise.
It may just aggravate the pain and swelling. Maybe ask your doctor what you
should do as well.
If I was going to exercise anyway, I would focus on upper body exercise and
rest the knees.

Faye, don't beat yourself up. This is one day out of how many???? Just
pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again!!
I have low blood sugar and my husband is insulin dependent diabetic,
so I know first hand how that low blood sugar problem feels. Keep some
regular juice on hand for next time it happens, or as you mentioned
the glucose tablets. And then give it time to work.

Tori,
Right-on, girl. I know that one of the BIG factors that helped me be successful with weight loss this time was that I was losing weight to regain HEALTH and VITALITY not skinniness. And I know I have to keep that in my mind always if I am to maintain my weight loss. I love my strong and healthy body now. Of course I like looking good in clothes and feeling pretty now, but I know I wouldn't have stuck to the plan if that was all I had been after.
Your wise words will continue to encourage me. I have a folder in computer called "Tori's Advice" because you give such good, truthful advice.
Thanks a lot!

8. My Hubby is so Sweet!
Posted by: "Faye Ridpath" ispgypsy@gmail.com fayefromtampa
Date: Wed Jul 29, 2009 1:59 am ((PDT))
Tuesday morning, when I got home from my 3rd shift, Bob had breakfast ready
for me! Scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, and toast with spray butter (how sweet
that it was even a good WW type breakfast- he even used bread that is only 1
point for two slices!)
Then later on I was telling him I was worried about my weigh in today
because of my binge Monday from that sugar low. He told me not to worry
about it. He said "You can't expect to lose every week. And to me you're
beautiful no matter what you weigh." I think he's not just paying lipservice
either cuz when we met I barely weighed 100 and now I weigh 147 so he's seen
me at my thinnest and my "thickest" and loved me the same and still wants me
in other ways if you know what I mean, so... :-)
My hubby's a keeper for sure! I had two serious relationships before him, so
I guess three times really *is* a charm!
I'm at work now...1 hour to go... 3rd shift is kind of cool but so dead! So
I'm reading gossip magazines. I don't know why I read that stuff when I know
half of it isn't true... Just a guilty pleasure I guess.
