Glad you had a great time Jen. The beach sounds like fun.
You will lose the pounds quickly now that you are bck on track.

I have a
serious health issue called obesity. It is currently controlled, but as soon
as I let go of that control I can fall right back into old habits.

This is such a great comment because it is so true!

I just listened to your latest podcast. When you were telling us the roller coaster story I thought, "I always worry that I wont fit in the seat!". Keep the podcasts coming!

kind of a disappointing day-- went for the needle biopsy and they could not
do it. The only node (now this is good news) that was large enough to
biopsy was behind the jugular vein. So they could not do it because the
blood would get into the sample and ruin it.

I got a call and I have to call back. Seems they are trying to do the
slice and dice biopsy on the 22nd. Will know more later.

I am Happy to report, I am exactly half way to goal.
When I started it seemed like I was looking into the mouth of a monster. On September 16, 2008, I found that I was 263 pounds over weight. It seemed like a lifetime away.
That was only 10 months ago.
As I weighed in today I find that I have managed to make it to my exact half way point.
I have lost -1.5 pounds this week
which is a total of -131.5 pounds lost.
There is no way I am going to take even one step backwards. My future is in the horizon, a light at the end of the tunnel is shinning so bright I need sun glasses.
Thank you Weight Watchers, thank you for my new life. Thank you everyone in this yahoo group, each of you have taken time to cheer me on and it helps. I love each and every one of you. You are my sisters and brothers in this struggle. I pray for you daily.

5a. Weigh In

Date: Tue Jul 21, 2009 11:05 am ((PDT))

This morning was my weekly weigh in. I lost 2.4 pounds this week, 13.8
pounds in all in three weeks. The weight loss is slowing down, as I
expected it would.

This is the last week of summer semester. I have a final on Wednesday
night and a final in my online class on Thursday. Next semester I
don't have any classes on Monday and Wednesday night for the first
time in three semesters, so next Monday night I am going back to belly
dance classes. I used to go twice a week, for exercise and fun, but
the classes are on Monday and Wednesday nights, so with the classes in
college (getting down to the last two semesters, so am not able to
pick and chose like in the beginning) I had to take I had to stop the
belly dance classes. No excuse not to do it with DVD's. But when I pay
for the classes I go.

us. She is on WW, too.

The Wii fitness is good, but if I were you, I would spend the money on the
EA Active for the Wii, it is so much better then the fit,

Hey i have the Wii fit.   The wii fit is set up that u do a small activity and if u excell it will unlock a new game or activity. They are not challanging at all.  id say with in the first two months of playing it i was complety bored with it as i unlocked all the games and activitys on it and then its like hrmmm..  i want the other cardio games they have out now but i wouldnt spend ur money on the wii fit. Everyone i know that has it.. hardly ever uses it. The only thing i  use my wii fit for now is for its scale since our bathroom one broke.

Although if u really like to play games the wii board is good to have as u can get snow boarding games and surfing games that are fun to play.

Does anyone have a good WW friendly Oriental or broccoli slaw recipe? I love that stuff with the ramen noodles and sunflower seeds, but it has a ton of oil, which I know I could cut down on, and I'm sure ramen noodles aren't very low point either. I'm craving the stuff, and don't have a clue on how to make it without using my whole point allotment on one dish.

go to recipes.sparkpeople.com and search for broccoli slaw. There are tons of variations and they all have nutrition information, so you can pick one that sounds good. Now you're making me crave it! I'm going to have to stop for some ingredients on the way home! Let me know which one you pick and how you like it.

I don't have a recipe, but I do know that there is a reduce fat ramen
soup out there. It is called Choice Ramen by Nissin. I don't know what
it compares to with the other soups, but the nutrition facts are (for
a 2.82 package) 280 calories, 3 g fat and 0 dietary fiber. I haven't
checked at Wal-mart for it, I was getting it at my military commissary
and they quit carrying it (figures). But since it is summer, and I
don't do soups in summer, I hadn't thought to look. I just pulled the
last package we had of it out of the cabinet to look at it. I was
buying it for my daughter. She says it is very good.

Hello
Just purchased the at home kit. I did ww a few years ago and lost 30 pounds but was on a plateau and started south beach but cant be restricted.
Im doing the flex points. My question is i know you are allowed a certain points each day but do you get extra points each meal for a reward Or incase you go over??
My kit was shipped today have some of my old books but unsure if its outdated.
Here we go again

Go online at weigtwatchers.com and look up the info. We are NOT
allowed to talk about how Weight Watchers works on this list.
The website is free to look at even if you aren't a member.

11. PB2 Giveaway!!
Posted by: "Tiffany Ivanovsky" mylitter@mac.com tiffanyivanovsky
Date: Tue Jul 21, 2009 2:44 pm ((PDT))

A few months ago I did a giveaway on my blog for PB2 peanut butter. I
am doing another one tomorrow! My current giveaway ends tonihgt at
midnight, then I start the PB2!
http://theivanovskys.blogspot.com/2009/07/new-giveaway-sears-portrait-studio.html

If you have not tried PB2 it is awesome!!! It is powdered peanut
butter. Don't ask me how they do it-I don't know. It is very low in
fat, 1.5 grams in 2T compared to 7-8 grams of fat in 2T in regular
peanut butter.
I put it in my smoothies in the morning with a banana, protein powder
and soy milk.

Check back tomorrow for the giveaway!

13. Melissa E's WI this week...WOO HOO!!!
Posted by: "toddlermomof2@aol.com" toddlermomof2@aol.com mepperly07
Date: Tue Jul 21, 2009 3:34 pm ((PDT))

Lost 1.7 lbs this week following Simply Filling! I'm now lower than
I've been since about 8th grade. I still have 51.2 lbs to go, but it
was nice to see a good loss. Going to Disney World on Friday and gonna
do my best to stay OP, but not sure what the WI's gonna look like when
I get back(gonna miss a WI while gone unless I can find a scale since
I'm online-only).
Have a great week everyone!
