'Confusion' is not a symptom of vitamin D overdose.

Please get to a Dr somehow - asap. If you are not dehydrated (happens very easily after WLS - drink your water!), you may have had a mild stroke. I had one, sounds famlliar.

Show up at the Dr's office and ask them to bill you, then deal with it later (like ask them when the bill comes if you can pay it off over time).

I stopped the car, heard honking, moved somehow to the side of the road and waited. Still with some confusion somehow got home. Right now I have a pulsing pain under the top of my head. I have no idea what my neglect and poverty has brought, but I'm praying I can get to the next appt at the doctor's (Mon 24th) ... She had prescribed 50,000 units of D for four weeks (once a week) and I was to come in for a test after that, but couldn't afford the deductible so bailed. I wish money didn't make the world go around, but I don't want to go to the ER.

I agree with Victoria: this sounds like a stroke or TIA (mini stroke).
Clearly your labs showed a vit D deficiency, hence the doctor's dosage.

Get to your doctor asap. Deal with the finances later.

Amy, I was feeling that way recently, not to your extent. I just went to my family Dr. and he ordered blood work for every Vitim and anything else he could order. I'm waiting for the results now. Maybe this would be a good idea for you as well. If your Vit D is low this may cause depression. I'm also 2.5 months out and lost 53 lbs. From a size 18/20 to a 14/12. We should be on top of the world. I will let you know what my results are when I get them. Sara

Subject: [After Weight Loss Surgery] Emotional Energy

Hello everyone,

I really love this group,it has encouraged me in so many ways ~ I don't post much, however I read just about every post!

I am having an issue and wondering if anyone can relate and if so, please let me know how you worked through it.

Right now I am 2months and 11 days post opp ( I had the SLEEVE ) , over this time I have lost just about 50 lbs !! Yea ~ I am so excited and I found myself purchasing my first pair of (girl) boy jeans this weekend in the size of a 12 from a tight 18/20 and the 10's fit too, they were a little tight, however with the SMALLER tummy rolls-I didn't purchase them. next time :-) (both my boys, were there watching all of this happen and the told me "mom, we are so proud of u"

Here is what I am going through at these last few days.... I have no energy, I am going through some emotional stuff, I just last week had my Dr. put me on some Percify that helsp me to focus, with anxiety and some depression ( it's on and off for me ) so atleast I have something to balance me out. I used to emotional eat, now I can't OR choose not too. I just have no energy and I do eat & drink as much water as I can, do a couple spin classes a week and walk my dog a mile - two miles a night, depends on how I am feeling. Loosing this much weight for the first time in my life is crazy and exciting at the same time and in the past with all the attention that I am begining to receive, this would be where I start eating all over again, to hide from the attention. Now, I am pushing through this attention and welcoming it for the first time in my life. I just feel like a WRECK, noo energy, I don't feel like doing much and I wake up feeling sick in the morning. I am used to drinking about almost a gallon a day in water before my surgery, now it's all that I can do to get through 32 oz of Smart Water (it doesn't make me feel so bloated as other waters do when having such a small 4 oz puch) I drank my first entire bottle of water in 2 months in 1 hour the last spin class I did. I was so excited about that!

I start my day out with Isopure 50g protien shake every morning for sure so that I start my day out with protien then the rest of the day, I may get 40g of protien pending on how many other EAS low carb shakes i drink, so some days I could end up with 100g of protien and possible couple of small snacks.

My last visit to my WLS Dr. they did a ultrasound on my Gallbladder and it came back with the sludge in it and said that I needed to take this medicine or I would have to have it removed. It's still bothering me some, yet not anything like it was.

I don't know whats going on with me, is it just the dramatic change that my body is going through? the amount of weight loss that I am acheiving the mental part of me is freaking out ! I completly stay away from sweets, sodas, beer, popcorn, pizza and Taco Bell and cookies ~ because I don't want to ever go back to my old ways of snacking / eating. So I take this journey 1 day at a time!! I keep ALL meals under 10g of FAT and under 10g of Sugar! I am adamat about this as my dr said that I would dump and I personally HATE to get sick or feel sick and this is exactly the way I have been feeling and I have been on track. Am I missing some Iron ? I am on a GNC super Vitamin and Calicium, vit D and C- with some other nutritional drinks through my MLM company.

I have to have my spunky personality and my energy as I run a concierge company here in Dallas... It's just gone. PLEASE HELP !!!!!

Thank you for reading and any feedback would be awesome! Congratulations to all of you out their with your WLS success.

To your success,
Amy J

Hi all.

Well, I had my surgery (lapro RNY) Friday Aug 7th. Everything went great. Dr
said I would probably go home Sunday. Picture perfect surgery. Then it
stopped. My bladder shut down and I could not go to the bathroom. The nurses
didn't know what to do. Dr ordered meds that would make me go, but could take
hours. I pushed and pushed and finally got some out. Sunday night I had to
have a cath in. They called a urologist in. They put me on meds and Thursday I
finally got to go home Thursday. I am still sore, but otherwise doing great.
Food goiing down, staying down, drinking, getting most of my protiens in. And
I've lost 10 pounds since surgery day. :)

So, all in all, things are going fantastic. I need to find a way to get more
protien in. My hubby and kids push me to walk. They've been great.

Denise

Denise...

That's awesome. I am just about 3.5 weeks post op (and down just about 35lbs - woohoo). I had a unique situation as well. My right leg (well my thigh) has completely lost all sensation ...except for burning...and man that hurts like heck!!! But all in all...not bad for me either. And you're right getting that protein in is a chore. I don't know about u...but I have to get in 62 grams...UGH!! Pretty darn hard to meet most days. Good job on the walking. Keep it up...it really does the body good!!

Well take care and good luck with the rest of your journey!
