Mandy,
Welcome to the group and congrats on your success with WW so far! I'm
Melissa, 35, from Dover, DE, married to Will for 5 1/2 years. I have 2
kids, Mary's 9 and Willie's 4.5. I work as a substitute teacher for
the local school district and am trying to get a 'real' job with them
as well. We just moved here in June, so I've been applying like crazy,
but I've only gotten 1 interview so far(haven't heard anything on that
yet, it was on Wednesday).
I've been on WW since 6/14/07 and have lost 50.1 lbs to date(I've been
down lower, but I had a BAD weigh in after vacation last week(gained
6.1lbs!!! YIKES) but part of it was also TOM, so I should be back down
most of it when I WI on Tuesday. I weigh in every Tuesday at home,
although this week I'll be at my mom's so it'll be a different scale,
but at least I'll have an idea where I'm at.

Going to my Mom's in the am, so I've set my yahoo groups to no mail,
hopefully it works this time. Will be gone from tomorrow am through
the following Saturday night, so I won't get email till Sunday morning.

I had some great grilled chicken tonight, using a recipe I adapted
from a Weight Watchers' cookbook. The adaptation was hot pepper flakes
for a jalapeno and cumin for chili powder.

Margarita Chicken

¼ cup orange juice juice and zest of one lime

2 Tbls tequila ¼ tsp hot pepper flakes

½ tsp cumin 1 clove garlic, crushed

1 T oil (recipe called for canola, I used olive)

Mix together and marinade your chicken, then grill. The original
recipe called for thighs, but breast are of course better (tasting and
points). It was yummy!

Our "assignment" this week at WW is to come back next week with a
recipe
that we fix all the time because it's easy AND good. Thought that
might be
a good topic of exchange here. A new, easy recipe(or just a good meal
plan)
might help some of us out of the SIAR Syndrome. (Stuck In A Rut).

Got anything? My favorite meal lately has been:

Chicken or Salmon

Whole Grain Wild Rice

Snap Peas

Layer rice, chicken then snap peas and add a dash of teriyaki sauce.
My
husband loves it too! I always divide up the leftovers for lunches
later in
the week at work.
