Cyndi,
Congrats on making Lifetime! I was away on vacation and came home to
read the messages about it and wanted to add my congrats. I also think
it's wonderful that your sister did the nice message/video for you.
You look WAY different than you did back the, I would never have
believed it was the same person :).

Hi All of You! I am Cyndi Murphy's sister and Weight Watchers leader in Mt.
Sterling, KY. As you all know she has lost 121.6 lbs and last night she made
her lifetime! It was wonderful! I put together a slide show of her journey
and would really like to share it with all of you. Please go to my
website... www.tracyswwlosers.com and go to the page that says Cyndi's
Journey to Lifetime. It will be worth the few minutes it takes to watch! It
is so exciting! She will inspire and motivate you! Plus it will put a face
with the name! Hope you enjoy!

I walked/jogged 4 miles at the track tonight. It is still very hot but it wasn't too bad. I did it in just under an hour so that's not bad for slow old me.

3. H1N1 - Swine Flu
Posted by: "Kelley" kvail@triad.rr.com kelleyvail
Date: Sun Aug 16, 2009 1:43 pm ((PDT))
I heard a doctor on tv the other day say that overweight people who got the
H1N1 virus didn't fare as well as those who are more normal weight. I don't
believe she said they have more fatalities with overweight people - just
that overweight people have more serious symptoms and tend to be sicker with
this virus.
So there is some more incentive for us to keep working on our weight loss!

Subject: RE: [Serious-Weight-Watchers] My Behavior After A Loss
Faye,
Back in 2005 when I was in Iowa, I always went to the Thursday 10:00 am
meeting. I loved it. My leader was fantastic, I was actually following the
program faithfully and lost about 30 pounds. Well, it all started when I
would "reward" myself with my fountain Coke every Thursday after my meeting.
Then it grew to a fountain Coke plus something else. Next thing I knew, I
was taking the whole week-end off and only following my program on Monday,
Tuesday, and Wednesday. Eventually I quit losing and quit going.
Today, I have gained all but 9 pounds back. I started back then at 228.4
and when I rejoined this time (now I live in North Carolina and haven't
found a meeting I can consistently attend or a leader that excites me as
much as Anne did in Iowa) I was 226.2. I am now down to 219 - but it all
started with that "reward."
Make a list of other things you can reward yourself with. Maybe you want a
pedicure. Tell yourself if you follow program all week, after your meeting
you will treat yourself to that. Even if the scale doesn't budge - if you
have followed program you have earned your reward. Sometimes the scale
doesn't show our week - whether good or bad. We all know we have lost on
weeks where we knew we didn't work for it! LOL.
This time - I am recommitting myself to my weight loss efforts, and I am
going to stop with the after meeting fountain cokes. I can have a fountain
coke, but it must be planned for or put in the points budget.
So why do you do this? Because you can. LOL. Maybe it is your sub
conscious way of control. Maybe you see a great loss and feel you have some
breathing room. There could be lots of reasons. But nip it in the bud! I
know from personal experience, it CAN (but not necessarily) lead to a
complete quitting of your program!

Sorry I haven't posted lately. I've been reading the posts, but haven't had much time for anything else.
I weighed in on Friday and am happy to say that I have lost my first 5 pounds! It took me 8 weeks to do it though. I had a really hard time the first few weeks, but now I'm in control and making sure that I log everything that I eat or drink and exercise daily. Only 20 lb to reach my goal.

9a. New - Questions about Rotisserie Chicken

Hello. My name is Melissa. I am new to the boards and am restarting WW today. So glad to have this support since I won't be able to attend any meetings.
I previously did WW after giving birth to my son in 2007 and now I have a daughter who is 6 months old also. FYI... I am trying to lose 15-20 pounds. I am 5'0 and approx 130 at the moment.
I have been going over my old book and cannot figure out points on this.
*2 oz of shredded rotisserie chicken w/out skin*
It's a store bought rotisserie from Kroger if that makes a difference.
Appreciate your help!!! Any advice or tips welcome and also appreciated!!

Melissa,
Welcome to the group and back to WW! I'm Melissa, too, 35 from Dover,
DE. I've been on WW since 6/14/07 and have lost 52 lbs so far. Are
you an online member? We aren't allowed to give out points info on
here, but if you're an online member, you can use the food tracker(part
of etools) to look up rotisserie chicken. Do you have the container it
came in? it should have the Nutritional information on the side for you
to use with either the online calculator or the paper slider (if you
have it from before).
Good luck.

Hi,
I am new to the group. I need something to get me more motivated. After I had my daughter, I lost a lot of weight and kept most of it off pretty easily. The last couple of years, not so easy. I have the original points system set. Will that work with this group?
I look forward to the support, as I feel like I must be the only one in this living nightmare.
Thanks again,
