I gained 1.2 pounds again this week (did this week before last, then
lost 7.2 pounds last week). Again, I am retaining fluid. I can feel it
in my hands (lately I've had a hard time keeping my rings on, today
they are tight) and see it in my ankles. I don't know why I am having
problems with this. Think I'm going back to two Mondays ago and see if
there were any foods I ate then that I also ate yesterday that might
be high in hidden sodium. I had salads twice yesterday and once on
Saturday and on Sunday, so maybe my dressing is high in sodium??? Need
to check that. And yes, I am drinking plenty of water and other
fluids.
Off to class.

Oh, and yesterday I hurt my heel again. My puppy, Robby, got in the
garden and covered with mud. (Mike had just watered it well, and he
loves to play in the water) When I caught him in the garden, he made a
mad dash for the house and I was following right behind him to keep
him from getting in the house before I hosed him off. In chasing him I
stepped down too hard on my heel with the plantar faciitis and heel
spur.

Cat, that is a terrific loss! WW may give you a lil warning if you enter it into your weight tracker cause it is over what they percieve to be a good loss a week. So dang right you should be "okay" with it.

Hey all. Sorry that I have been MIA. My mom passed suddenly and have been up at her house taking care of everything. No internet.. barely civilization. No need for sympathies. I know how caring that you all are. I appreciate the thoughts and prayers but no need to put it through the groups. I am in a bit of a funk still but am trying to get back to the norm whatever that was, lol..
Congrats to those that have had losses.
Kicks to those that didn't (including myself, I think) and then a hug.
Welcomes to the newbies, or the people finding their way back.
Onward and downward on this train to life!!

Yesterday completely escaped from me, and today is half over. So here's
the recipe:
Small Round Slow Cooker:
1 cup Steel Cut Oats
41/2 cups Water
* cup Evaporated Skim Milk
Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker. Cook on low 8-9 hrs.
I also came across a recipe for Old Fashioned Rolled Oats. It called
for 1 cup of the oats, 41/2 cups of the water and cook 7-8 hours.

Sorry I didn't get this to you last night. By the time I was through
with my homework, I crawled off the bed, read for 20 minutes and
zonked out.
Adding Foods to Your Recipe that are Not Included in the Scale
You will need to know the calories, fat grams, fiber grams and serving
size in grams. This will work best for packaged foods.
1. Place the item on the scale.
2. Instead of using the keypad to enter a food name (as you would with
a food included in the database), pres INPUT.
3. Follow the screen prompts to enter the calories, fat grams, fiber
grams and serving size in grams (see CALCULATING POINTS VALUES OF
PACKAGED FOODS on page 16). The POINTS value of the food will show on
the screen.
4. Press ADD to add this food to your recipe. You can continue adding
foods to your recipe by placing the next item on the scale.
5. If your recipe is complete, press the POINTS button to view total
POINTS value, and to adjust number of servings.
Calculating Points Values of Packaged Foods
To Calculate POINTS Values:
1. Press INPUT. Enter calories per serving, and press ENTER.
2. Enter grams of total fat per serving, and press ENTER.
3. Enter grams of fiber per serving, and press ENTER.
4. Enter serving size in grams, and press ENTER
5. The POINTS value will display a zero until you place food on the
scale.
6. To find the POINTS value of that food, place the food on the scale.
Let me know if there is anything else.
