I'm not sure exactly how this works, but looks pretty cool! I'm always looking for new movies to add to my queue and reviews from what other people thought of movies before I get them :).

Jenni,
I love the monthly pass! It is great because you have the meetings plus the
message boards.
You get so much support. I did WW once then for financial reasons had to
stop the monthly pass and I just wasn't able to do it on my own so hubby
told me to rejoin and we would find a way to make it work.
My hubby is so great and supportive!

Ok, I have a question. Way back about 6 years ago I used to take medicine like zoloft for anxiety, but since I've had Ally (who i s3 1/2) I have been fine, but I've been stressed lately with personal things and work but I don't want to go back on zoloft and I don't think I need it, but I was gonna try to herbal supplement or something like that I can get at Walgreens or CVS. Anyone have any ideas?

I think that you should talk to your doctor about this and take any advice you get on the internet with a grain of salt.
I have an anxiety diagnosis now, and I will tell you that when I am in the beginning stages of an anxiety attack (panic attack) if I exercise, I can make it go away. Exercise helps tremendoulsy with anxiety. I still think it's best to talk to your doctor, though. Not every doctor will put you on medications, but they can be helpful about which supplements are beneficial.
Best wishes, as anxiety is certainly no fun.

Greetings All,
Just joined the group. I've been going to meetings now for 17 weeks and have lost 23 pounds total. I have about 25-30 more to go. I'm definitely committed to WW and sticking with it. I'm fanatical about tracking and try most things my leader recommends.
I was looking for a more serious group and I hope I've found it here. Other WW online groups are all about the weigh ins and I hope to read and contribute more than that to this group. Just got my first digest and I'm excited to jump in soon.
Glad to meet you all!!!
Carolyn

6d. Reduced fat Paula Deen recipe
Posted by: "CLAUDIA" clewing1953@sbcglobal.net clewing1953@sbcglobal.net
Date: Wed Aug 26, 2009 7:33 pm ((PDT))
I am putting the original recipe first, as it has the cooking
directions, then my changes at the bottom. This is one of my family's
favorite dinners.
This recipe MUST be cooked in an iron skillet. If you don't the bottom
layer of cornbread will burn.
Iron Skillet Tamale Pie
From Cooking with Paula Deen, September/October 2007 page 46
1 pound ground chuck
1 onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 20 oz can enchilada sauce
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp salt
1 ½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 cups self-rising cornmeal mix
1 cup cream-style corn
¾ cup milk
½ cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp chili powder
In a large skillet, combine ground chuck, onion, and bell pepper. Cook
over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until beef is browned
and crumbly. Drain well. Stir in enchilada sauce, tomato sauce, cumin,
chili powder, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat
and simmer 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in cheese. Set aside.
Preheat over to 350°. Lightly grease a 10" cast-iron skillet.
In a medium bowl, combine cornmeal mix, cream-style corn, milk, oil
and eggs, stirring until smooth. Stir in sugar and chili powder.
Pour one-third of batter into skillet. Bake 10 minutes.
Spoon meat mixture evenly over cornbread layer. Spoon remaining
cornmeal batter evenly over meat mixture.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center of
cornbread comes out clean.
Cut into wedges to serve.
Note: The picture in the magazine showed it topped with fresh tomatoes
and avocado chopped. I did that, adding a little lemon juice to
preserve the freshness and bring out the flavor, and everyone really
thought that was great.
IRON SKILLET TAMALE PIE
REDUCED FAT VERSION
Use the following ingredients instead of the ones in the original
recipe.
Use the same cooking directions EXCEPT use Pam to oil the skillet
rather than oil.
1 pound ground beef—93% fat free
1 onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 20 oz can enchilada sauce
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1 cup shredded reduced fat Cheddar cheese
2 packages Jiffy corn muffin mix
1 cup cream-style corn
¾ cup fat free milk
½ cup vegetable oil
6 egg whites
1 tsp chili powder
Other substitutes could be ground turkey and fat free cheese which
would make it even lower in fat.
I counted this as 16 servings, but decent size servings, as this makes
enough to use two cast iron skillets (first time I made it, when I
tried just to use one, it was too much for the pan). Using the recipe
builder, each serving came out to be six points. I had the points left
so I ate two servings. I topped it with salsa. Of course, my husband
ate about five servings, at least. The only difference I could see was
that the cornbread was a little crisper, and I liked it better that
way. I could not tell the difference in the taste itself.

Ha! I'm probably in between you two, have a good day, Kelley. Congrats to all you WW'rs who are exercising and loosing pounds. I just haven't been able to make myself get outside and walk yet....soon when it is cooler, I keep saying to myself........lol.
Our WW leader wants us to try and loose 9 lbs. in the next 9 weeks, up to Halloween. It seems like a good goal to me. :-)

As a newbie, I don't know the abbreviations yet. What does WBMO stand for?

Hi Everyone.. mesage from Claudia reminds me that I just got a
fabulous book on Plantar Fasciitis from Amazon.. well worth the $27
for anyone suffering from this...
"The 5-Minute Plantar Fasciitis Solution" by Jim Johnson, PT...
has exercises to stretch your Plantar Fasciitis BEFORE you step on it
when you've been off your feet for any length of time ( like in the
morning BEFORE you get out of bed).. so it can stetch without trauma
to it.... wonderful book.. I can notice the difference already....
