could you use apple sauce instead of the oil for this?

My daughter and I discussed this, as I have substituted it before in other recipes, but decided to just reduce the oil, as with cornbread you still want that texture that comes from the oil. If anyone tries it, let me know how it turns out.

2a. Deb's Thursday weigh in

Well, it's been a tuff, strange week and a half. I was pretty good while at Mom's, but definitely not OP all the way. Didn't drink my water, ate some things that I ordinarily would never eat OP cause it was all that was available. After the funeral Wed I was good for Thursday and Friday. I had a terrible OP day on Saturday. I used all of my weeklies in one day plus my dailies. A huge wedding reception for my niece, and I was very self indulgent. I usually don't do that, lol, as most here know. But with the passing of Mom, and this coming up immediately after.. I faltered. Then went to visit my father (who is ailing and I haven't seen but twice in a year) on Sunday and ate pizza. I mean I ate pizza........ so there went the APs and dailies for Sunday and the week. Been back on track all week and pulled out a half pound loss. Have no idea how I pulled that one off. But I will take it. I'm back up on that wagon rollin dowwwwwn again. Thankfully I tracked everything and it made me focus again. I am just thankful that I didn't give in to the urge to light up a cigarette during that time as I was sure tempted with my brother smoking around me and the stress of getting everything done right away. I am thanking the powers that be for coming out of this as good as I have......so far.
And I thought of all of you too. I do feel that I can't preach without doing. So thanks for the support whether you knew you were doing it or not.

Deb, you said you didn't need condolences, but I offer them anyway. I
lost my mom March 2008 and there are still times I think about picking
up the phone to call her. So, you jumped off the wagon for a few
days, what is important is that you focus on how much you have lost,
and how you are back OP now. I am glad you still showed a weight loss.
I am fighting cluster headaches today, they are a form of migraines. I
usually get them when I am majorly stressed, which I don't feel I am,
but this time I think it is from lack of sleep. One of my online
classes requires you to "attend" half of the online chats the
professor has during the semester. The first one was this morning at
7:00 a.m. or this afternoon at 2:00, when I had a regular class at the
college. So, I set the alarm for 6:30 to get up, let the dogs out,
make my coffee, etc., and be ready for the chat. Well, right before
7:00 a.m. I get an e-mail from a different professor letting me know
my professor had her Internet knocked out by last night's storm..which
is another reason I didn't get a lot of sleep. The storm kept me up
until about 1:30. Then for those short five hours I kept waking up,
worrying I'd oversleep (I do that when I have to get up earlier than
usual). Anyway, trying to fight the headaches without resorting to my
prescription medicine, as they aren't full blown yet. They are easing
off a little. But she has rescheduled the chat for 8:00 p.m. tonight,
and frankly, I just don't know if I'm going to be able to stay away
for it.
Sorry, didn't mean to ramble.

Dear Deb.
Many of us have lost a parent so we understand what you are going though. For some of us when we suffer thess waves of emotions we naturally turn to food. Food can be a real comfort at this time.In the past I have turnedd to food when I have suffered saddness. I admire you for even tracking your points. I have read that people lose weight when writing down what they eat. Losings weight might not be the most important thing for the next week or two. I know that you will get back on plan when things settle down.
For now please take care of yourself. I know that this might not be easy just take it one day at a time. One meal at a time and you will be ok.
Remember that we are here for you. Please continue to write. OK Sending you love.c

Today I was busy!
I played tennis for 45 min with the kids (which is not so much playing tennis as running after tennis balls)
I walked for 45 min at the park on a pretty trail near the river with the kids
I ran and walked at the high school track for 1 hour

I walked 10K steps and have so for the last week man the weigh just comes off with walking (But I have to do the 10K steps-i've tried less and no weight loss :(
Is that about 5 miles? I have a long stride.

I forgot to post my weigh in yesterday. Hubby had a run out of town (he's a
courier). We live in FL and he had to go to VA. Marcella (our daughter) is a
major daddy's girl so I had to comfort her and try to get her to calm down
and go to sleep since it was a school night.
Anyway I lost .8 this week.
Oh and for those of you that go to meetings, have any of you tried either
the pizza pretzel thins or the new white chocolate peppermint smoothies? I
bought the pizza pretzels and they were so good! Tasted like a cheese pizza!
I bought a bag to work to munch on tonight. I have to buy all my things
portioned already else I tend to want to eat too much. I do have the digital
scale too but I still tend to want to just want to reach in a bag if it's
not portioned. I didn't buy the new smoothie flavor cuz I do love white
chocolate but chocolate and peppermint seemed like it would taste like a
York Peppermint Patty and I hate those! If it would taste like a chocolate
mint like on a hotel pillow or the ones they give you at Olive Garden now
that would be yummy I love those but if it tastes like a York Peppermint
Patty I would hate it so I didn't want to buy it cuz then the money is
wasted if I hated it.

Once it is out there, I will take action!
Hello everyone! I am RandyMarie and I have been on and off and on and off and on..........WW
It is successful, the only issue is that I stop making myself a priority and I return to what is "easy"...........
Someone said once, "losing weight is hard, being fat is hard.....choose your hard." I know this is more about committing to a new lifestyle, but that really begins with believing you are worth it! So here I am, looking in the mirror and stating I am determined to love myself and treat myself like I would want to treat someone I love!
I am 5'3.5".177lbs. I have a journey to make, but it starts (again) today.
Have a great day, enjoy some sunshine!
