2.5 mile walk...I'd rather be at the "Y" Can't wait for it to reopen
next Monday....
Gained .6 today. (:0(......I'm fighting the lasty 6 lbs...any
suggestions..
I'm surprised your whole Y is closed for a week, our rec pool is closed
and the fitness center closed early yesterday, but the whole thing is
NOT closed. Btw, I forgot, can't do Zumba and DWR tonight, it doesn't
start till NEXT friday :(. Oh well, gonna swim later on my own.
I like walking, but I haven't lost as much weight when I'm just walking
either. btw, 5K is 3.1 miles so you're close to a 5K
Melissa
Sorry, can't help with the 6 lbs, I've been yo-yo-ing for a long
time(almost a year!)

Our "Y" is closed for maintenance, new floor in the exercise rooms, work on the pool. Our "Y" really keeps up the Maintenance. We can go to another "Y" but my cars has been getting fixed too. So walking is my exercise this week.

Hi, Randy Marie and welcome. Although this is my first time on WW
since 1975, I have been on and off of diets for 38 years. I feel like
this time I can finally do it. I am here for the long haul. So I know
exactly what you are talking about.
A couple nights ago I made a reduced fat version of one of my favorite
recipes. Although I didn't trim that much from it in the grand scope
of things, I got the comment from my husband that, "You really are
taking this serious this time." So, let's take it seriously, together.
This group is wonderful for just letting you rant, vent, and ramble,
celebrating victories and encouraging you when the scale doesn't go
the way you want it to.

Dear Deb.
Many of us have lost a parent so we understand what you are going though. For some of us when we suffer thess waves of emotions we naturally turn to food. Food can be a real comfort at this time.In the past I have turnedd to food when I have suffered saddness. I admire you for even tracking your points. I have read that people lose weight when writing down what they eat. Losings weight might not be the most important thing for the next week or two. I know that you will get back on plan when things settle down.
For now please take care of yourself. I know that this might not be easy just take it one day at a time. One meal at a time and you will be ok.
Remember that we are here for you. Please continue to write. OK Sending you love.c

Well, it's been a tuff, strange week and a half. I was pretty good while at Mom's, but definitely not OP all the way. Didn't drink my water, ate some things that I ordinarily would never eat OP cause it was all that was available. After the funeral Wed I was good for Thursday and Friday. I had a terrible OP day on Saturday. I used all of my weeklies in one day plus my dailies. A huge wedding reception for my niece, and I was very self indulgent. I usually don't do that, lol, as most here know. But with the passing of Mom, and this coming up immediately after.. I faltered. Then went to visit my father (who is ailing and I haven't seen but twice in a year) on Sunday and ate pizza. I mean I ate pizza....... . so there went the APs and dailies for Sunday and the week. Been back on track all week and pulled out a half pound loss. Have no idea how I pulled that one off. But I will take it. I'm back up on that wagon rollin dowwwwwn again. Thankfully I tracked
everything and it made me focus again. I am just thankful that I didn't give in to the urge to light up a cigarette during that time as I was sure tempted with my brother smoking around me and the stress of getting everything done right away. I am thanking the powers that be for coming out of this as good as I have......so far.
And I thought of all of you too. I do feel that I can't preach without doing. So thanks for the support whether you knew you were doing it or not.
Deb

Not sure where it originated from but it might be on the internet if you search? I'm at work and shouldn't even be on here so I can't search now....

Sherry: it's like a Whole Foods, it's a market type store that has all
kind of yummy ww-friendly(usually) stuff. I could only find whole
wheat couscous there until we moved and now another store near us has
it. Their bread and butter pickles are also FANTASTIC if you like
pickles :).

I have seen a HUGE list of WW friendly Trader Joe's foods with points listed.
Not sure where it originated from but it might be on the internet if you search? I'm at work and shouldn't even be on here so I can't search now....

6. Stressed- Fell off the Wagon
Posted by: "Faye Ridpath" ispgypsy@gmail.com fayefromtampa

I fell off the wagon the last few days. Hard! I have eaten:
1. One of those new McDonald's Angus Mushroom Melts
2. McDonald's again- Big Mac value meal!
3. Again McDonald's- McSkillet Burrito Meal
4. Went too long without eating, was starving, got a Bavarian Cream Filled
Long John at Sweet Bay
Hubby had to go out of town on a run. Marcella (9 year old daughter) has
been coming down with something I think. Her voice is sounding hoarse and
she says her gums hurt and her throat is sore.
Then hubby's van broke down on his way home so I was stressed worrying about
him.
Earlier this week my dad and I had a difference of opinion and he had
e-mailed me saying he was going to call me on Tuesday because I'm off then.
But he never called and he hadn't e-mailed so I was stressing worrying he
was going to quit talking to me over it. But he e-mailed me the other day
and said he's sorry he didn't call as promised he had a surprise guest that
is stressing him out.
So that worked out great, hubby made it back and I got right back on track.
Which means- all is good=Faye does good.
Stress=Faye falls off the wagon.
Which is bad... We will always have something to stress us, that just comes
with life.
So I need to learn how to deal with stress and not ruin all my progress
because of it. I shouldn't only eat right if everything in life is right.
