Hi,

I do not know why you have the back pain. I had the same thing. I
thought that I had some kind of kidney problem. It went away in a week or so.

I had the same problem.  I was re-admitted for 3 days due to severe pain.  They did xray and ct scan and could not find anything.  It took 8 weeks for the pain to go, they never mentioned kidney's or dehydration.  They did mention that it could have been a nerve that was hit, or just the pressure of the organs pressing on a nerve since you are usually on your back for a long period of time.  I know how you feel, I had such expectations of being up and walking.  I had to make sure to get my protein shake and water in as I was on pain meds and out of it for several hours during the day. Good luck, and I'm sure it is a temporary thing.  Hold on to the fact that it does get better.

Debbie

Subject: [After Weight Loss Surgery] post op back pain?

Hello everyone,

I had my surgery Jan 4, 2010 and I have been experiencing lower back pain? I did read it could be kidney issues from not getting enough liquids but I am drinking constantly. Has anyone else experienced this? It also isn't constant, I get through the day okay then at night it really bothers me. Just looking to see if this is something that happens!!!
thanks for all the useful information from this group!!! it has been a great help!
Kristin
