Hi guys I mostly lurk and have gained great insight. I had surgery August 25 2009 my pre surgery weight was 338 today I weigh in at 226. My weight loss has stalled partly because I have started some bad habits, and I think I'm snacking to much. I am one who has had ZERO issues with food I can eat anything! So I'm considering a low carb lifestyle. Now I'm doing more of a balance between carbs fat and protein I average between 1100 and my all time high of 1600 calories daily. When I look at atkins type programs they seem high in calories between cheese, oil, eggs, and nuts. So my question do you count calories when you go low carb? Do calories matter? Can you give an example of a typical day? Pointers? I don't do shakes I can tolerate a few but I've been able to reach my protein goal with food. Do u count fat? Sorry so many questions just want to get back on track. And most of you guys say low carb is the way to go.
Thanks
