I am seriously considering the Lap Band procedure. My insurance company has requested medical documentation of weight loss attempts for at least a six month period of time. My doc and I have discussed weight a million times but have not done anything other than "increase activity and decrease intake" which I have done to no avail. Anyone else deal with this and how hard is it to get the insurance company to actually cover it? I have coexisting conditions so that part certainly will not be a problem. Thanks!
