Hi Bonnie,
I too, have gained some back. I had my surgery about 3 years ago and starting weight was 411. After the dust settled, I was at 274. What a dream that was. The weight loss froze at that point tho, as I aquired a broken arm, dislocated shoulder and torn rotator cuff, (all in my sleep, mind you. Just woke up and there it all was!) After surgery, the pain meds that I was taking were of the nature that made people gain weight. I didn't gain, however, that was the end of loosing too. For the last year and a half, the struggle continues. I might loose 5 pounds but it will come right back on the next week. I think I'm supost to be at 290 as this is where I always settle. It is a heart breaker for me as, I too am handicapped, and walking or bending over is a killer. The grand news is, I am eating mostly vegetarian, my labs are sooooo good and my diabetes is very under control. The last five A1c reports all have been 6.0 (classic
textbook perfect). Whoot! Just turned 60 last week and feeling good. Best of luck with your journey. Elaine in Washington (the state)

Hello
I'm new to the group.. I had my surgery March 2004 and I lost over 150
lbs. I have gained back 70 lbs and I'm having trouble getting it off.
When I first came out of surgery and started gaining, I could get it
off... but now, its not coming off even with a cut back in daily calories.
I have a problem with exercise... I am disabled and exercise makes me
worse so I'm very limited in what I can and can't do. I knew this going
in... does anyone have this problem too.
Thank you
Hugs
Bonnie
