Actually I would love to give you some advice on the topic, but I'm in the same boat as you. I had my surgery in 2005 and have gained 20 lbs back as of today. My soda habit is creeping back on me slowly but surely. I went from only being able to intake a sip or two a day, to now I'm up a 12oz can a day. Any pointers, I'm all ears.

I think you just have to say no as I can't stop at one glass either, so to me its better to break the habit and get a new healthy one, I am drinking much more water now and the more I do the more I am craving it so it does work, surgery is too big a step to stuff up for me, would all be a waste of time and money, I couldn't bear that!  Good luck girls.  Hugs

Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave intending to arrive safely, in an attractive well preserved body, instead skid in sideways body all worn out screaming WOO HOO  what a ride!!!

love from

I'm up 20 as well! My issue is not soda, but sweets! I no longer get the 'sensation' after eating a sweet, so I can have a few Oreos without harm! So this is the part where the 'rubber meets the road' and I MUST exercise some self control and do what I can do to get back on track. I appreciate this group and the opportunity to share!
