Hello all. I have rejoined the group as I am now ready to refocus my weight
loss efforts! I was just flailing along before, so I took a break from WW
and now believe I am ready to get going again!
I look forward to hearing from the "oldies" in the group and seeing who all

The one program I know of that is very similar to the Old WW program is the Healthy Exchanges program. Or try googling it by entering Old Weight Watchers program. Something is bound to come up.

Welcome back Michelle! I just rejoined the group today as well. And yes -
you will get new rewards since you are starting over! I have the old pewter
key chain for the 10%, and I think it's bronze now! I am looking forward to
getting that myself! My first goal is that 5% reward.

Hi everyone! I'm Michelle. I'm not new to this listserv or to WW, but there
are so many new members since I was last an active member here, I figured
I'd reintroduce myself.
I lost 55 pounds with WW in 2007 - 2008 and then had to quit when I became
pregnant. I had all the intentions of only gaining a minimal amount of
weight with the pregnancy, but I fell off the wagon when morning sickness
set in and lasted the whole pregnancy. I didn't throw up often (when I did,
it didn't stop and landed me in the hospital twice) but since I was nauseous
all the time, the only thing that seemed to help was several mini-meals per
day, which I translated as constant "eating for two." This resulted in a
gain of 60 pounds according to my doctor's scale. I have lost 30 of it
quickly (9 of it was my daughter, Katie, though) and plateaued.
I offically joined WW again today and I'm looking forward to the momemtum
program. My meeting site is a test site for new materials and it seems
similar to some of the material we tested out, so hopefully I'll adjust
quickly to the newer parts of the program and be on my way. At my WI today,
I was 244, which is about 36 from the WI just before I found out about the
pregnancy.
For those of you who may have returned to WW after a haitus, do you know if
I'll get a new 10% keychain and weights? I still have my old ones, but I
noticed in my membership booklet that they put a 5% and 10% goal in there,
so I wondered about it. Do I have to give my old ones back? J/K!

Jan, you are so right. I've been on WW a long time - up and down. I used to lose much faster than I do now. The exercise and drinking the water raise my metabolism, so I can lose, but I still lose slower than I used to.

Kathryn and Devika, a familiar story from the two of you. So many of us have
the same story. I believe it is because it is work to stay focused unless we
accept it as a "life style" instead of a weight loss program. Afterall to
maintain it must remain a lifestyle not just a program to get us there. Is
it not? So let's all adapt to this lifestyle together and get focused on
what changes we want in our lives. Mainly...being healthier and more
freedom. Freedom to live life to the fullest and break the chains that keep
us in a chair or sitting on the sidelines wishing we could be able to enjoy
even the small things in life. Let's look forward to moving and I mean
MOVING in the right direction together. Set small goals and celebrate each
one! Which will lead us on to our bigger goals and a better, longer life.
Looking forward to many "woohoo" moments with you both!
Hugs,
Deb from Illinois

Some gyms even offer childcare. I used to be in Shapes and they did. And the
one I'm currently a member of also does.

When my first two kids were born, I went back to work after about 6 weeks or
so. When I got pregnant with my 3rd, we knew that someway, somehow I was
going to be a SAHM and so my last day of work was February 1, 2008 and my
3rd child was born February 2, 2008.
Trying to find time to work out is a daily struggle for me. I tried waking
up early, but I never know when the baby is going to wake up, so that doesn
t work, I have recently tried waiting until the kids are in bed, but by that
point I'M ready for bed myself!! My husband leaves for work at 6am and then
goes to school, so he doesn't get home until 10pm, so waiting for him to
watch the kids isn't an option.
I'm thinking the only way this issue is going to get solved is to get a gym
membership again, take the kids to daycare and I'll work out!

Hi, the happiest thing you can do for you & the kid, is to join the gym. As
a new mom, you need a time of peace & you time. The baby will be well
looked after in the nursery. You can exercise for 45 minutes or so, take a
leisurely shower & be a better mom.
I became the new mom of a toddler three years ago. It was the first time I
had not worked in my whole adult life. Not having a schedule was hard at
first. And it was nerve racking being a mom 24x7 with no down time. The
gym gave our daily schedule a concreteness. We left home the same time
every day to go to the gym. It saved my sanity. And my daughter still
truly looks forward to going to the gym to play with her friends. I feel
like it's a win/win situation for us. And I hope I am setting a good
example of a healthier life style for her as she grows up.
If you absolutely cannot afford the gym, then I recommend Leslie Sansone.
She does "walking away the pounds." It's super easy. A person of any size
or stamina can do it. There are bazillions of different ones she's done.
And also, it's big entertainment for the kid. There's nothing more
entertaining than watching mom marching around the living room kicking.
Though as an aside, I will say my six year old daughter was amazed that my
spin class was a room full of bikes not going anywhere. Why would you want
to ride a bike that's not going anywhere? She had to go up & see the spin
room. She thought it was hillarious lol good luck, amy

No way that was 22 points! I would just break it down, figure what the tortillas are and the sauce, most of the veggies are free

My friend and I went to our meeting tonight and it was a good week for both of us. We hadn't had dinner and went to Islands. We both had 2 yaki tacos and a side salad. When I checked DWLZ for points it came up 22 but without the fiber. I check Islands nutricion info and it doesn't include the fiber either. Does anyone know what the point value is and do you think 22 is correct? It was on a whole wheat tortilla, tomatoes, pineapple, chicken, slight bit of cheese and the teriyaki sauce. How would you count it?
Lesson learned now to know the points before ordering.
Thanks for your help.

Hello all, I hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather. Welcome to all the new and returning ladies. I am Tracylea from Indiana, I started WW in March of 2009 at 231 and have lost 32 lbs so far. I am a keeper of my home and love the life changes I am making on WW. My goal weight is 131.
Today's WI was grand, down 2.2, below 200, officially. I have gone back and forth the last couple of weeks. Now I am down to 24 points a day, waaaaaaa. Vacation is in two weeks, my goal is to be at 195 when I leave and to maintain while I am gone. I have decided to change my short goal even though I am a pound from the last. Motivation.
Congrats to everyone who lost, stayed the same or stayed/joined the program. Remember each day is a new day to start all over or to continue with yesterdays success.
with love and blessings,
