Thanks Tory! You have no idea what an inspiration you have been for me. I think of you often when I'm racing. Thanks for being a great role model!

Approaching Midway
I can not tell you how devastated I was nine and a half months ago when I found out I had Two Hundred and Sixty Three pounds to lose. I am not sure I will ever get over learning that information about myself.
Now with grateful solemnness I find myself 2.9 pounds away from my half way point. Instead of feeling hopeless and lost, I am fully aware that this can and will get done. All doubt has been removed from me and my life has changed in so many ways for the better. My outlook is bright and I feel like I am 20 years younger.
No matter how much you have to lose, read your Weight Watcher materials carefully and often. Read the articles here on the Website, reach out to the rest of us here on this message board. You are not alone.
Hold on tight to your KNOWING and let go of your DOUBTING. Trust in the program that Weight Watchers has researched and designed for you. Shed old bad habits and desires and replace them for new good habits. Learn to desire that which is healthy.
This can be done. You can do it. WE can do it. I am doing it with you.
My stats after today's Weigh In
413.0 lbs 09/16/2008
284.6 lbs 06/30/2009
Week #41
Down -0.8 lbs
Total Gone -128.4 lbs

Mowed the grass and raked up the clippings for 2.25 hours today, not a
bad way to earn 7 APs! good thing i quit when I did, because it started
pouring about 5 minutes later!

Aww, Ginny, I am so sorry you are going through all of this. If you ever
need a friend, I am usually online. (((((hugs)))))
My husband is not very supportive of me either. When I found out about my
kidney disease, he just brushed it off as nothing.
Thank God for friends!
Have a good evening,
Tammy

Ginny- you are in my thoughts and prayers again today. Please take some time for yourself, and don't worry about those around you that you can't change- YOU are the important one in this equation! Give yourself a hug from me. :)

I have not been active on the list but I have been reading it for year.
You are the family I do not have.

Hi, My kid is in daycamp this week, so I've tried to devote more time to the gym. My new strategy on the elleptical is to read. It's taking my mind off it better than trying to watch the tv that is usually on some channel I don't care about. I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep my pace up, but I find I'm actually going faster. I'm 46 & now need glasses to read. So to avoid forgetting one more thing, I'm reading a large type book. So bizarrely enough, I'm reading Annette Funicello's autobio this week.
I did 1 1/2 hours on Cybex cross trainer in two sessions. And burned almost 900 calories reportedly. Though I realize the calorie count thing is not always accurate, it still made me proud. It's taken me a long time to work my way up to 50 minutes at a time. If you recall, I'm the one with bursititis. And thankfully, it's not hurting my leg.... amy

Ruth,
I don't really like powders. I can't make them blend enough.
