Welcome to the group Julie!
I hope with support, you can find your way back. I am working on the 5 day pouch test to get back in touch with myself and it seems to be doing well

Hey Julie welcome my name is Josie I had the lap band done in August 07 I still have issues and have really never been on track. although all my blood work came out great this last time. I still have only lost just a few pounds but who know s maybe I'm not suppose to be a size 1 anymore maybe a size 18 is sufficient for me at this time of my life. As long as I can maintain even that size I will be happy I guess that's it just maintain a level or size for a while. I know this for sure i have to work out there is no if or buts about that I need to for my body and with the surgery I chose it is important to stay active. I have at one point teeter/tottered with my weigh,t right now I'm at a size 18. and will try and maintain that for the time being. Oh and by the by Zoomba is Great form of exercise.

Thanks much love Josie

2. Trying to get a handle on my future

I am Ray and will be having the Sleeve done on 9/9. Trying to find out
what my future might be. I am looking forward so much to beginning my
new path towards health. I am 61 years old and I should have done this
years ago. My current weight is 280 pounds and I have a BMI of 39.1.

I've probably asked this question before in different ways. Assume
everything goes well and I am near my goal weight or at my goal weight
after one year, I understand of course that I will need to be very
careful with the quantity and quality of food I eat and I will have to
maintain an active exercise regimen. But on occasion will I be able to
have a tuna sandwich or part of a tuna sandwich? Routine fruits such
as apples, oranges, pears, grapes etc.? Will I on a special occasion
be able to take even a single byte out of a hamburger? In short maybe
if someone could describe their typical daily meals it would be very
helpful. Also, on certain special occasions can you eat a bit more and
varied foods? Just try to get a feel for it.

Thank you everyone in advance.

Ray
